Day 4: Tuesday, June 23 *The day we became jinxed*
We decided to sleep in a bit and woke up around 9 a.m. I started smelling the coffee Dad had started and thats when I really realized we were at WDW again. I know that sounds strange, but its just one of those things that I remember from every trip since weve been staying at villas for DVC.
As I was getting ready, Dad, Mom, and B/F start yelling at me to come out on the balcony. I come running and Mom goes Look at the hot air balloon! And I said, HEY! Thats the Characters in Flight ride I was talking about wanting to do at DTD! And thats how we found out we were facing DTD. Haha.
Heres some more pics from out on the balcony:
We always had a duck family or this guy out there:

Mom made us breakfast and we ate at the table while watching Stacys Must Do Disney about 100 times. Its so short! I miss the old show!!! I texted
xoktnox to tell her that we saw the balloon from our room and that we were going to be heading to DTD today to try it. After Sis was all ready to go (shes ALWAYS the last one ready), we headed to our bus stop.
Since we were only going to the Hospitality House, we hopped on the first bus to come. After getting off the bus at the HH, we walked to wait for the boat to DTD. We started talking to the other family in line and found out that were from the same state! Finally, a boat came and of course the Dad from their family and my Dad sat across from each other so they could talk some more. The people from the DIS meet in Nashville know that my Dad likes to talk. Haha. He just likes meeting new people, it makes life more interesting thats for sure.
Heres our room from the boat- we are the pink building to the right and the top balcony:
The boat ride to DTD from OKW is seriously SO gorgeous. As we went by Saratoga Springs, I could not help but think of
Dawn, especially since we talked about it in Nashville. We saw some of the treehouse villas as well. I wish I wouldve taken a picture of them! Then, we made it around the corner and there it was
the balloon. Who knew that this would be the beginning of us being jinxed from that thing.
We pulled up to the dock, which they have moved over to the West Side instead of the Marketplace. We were right across from the balloon:
We get off the boat and head towards the balloon..and thats when we saw the sign Closed due to weather. Dad went up and talked to the CM standing there and he said that there was a storm about an hour away and heading this way, so they have to wait until it clears up, which should be in about an hour or two. So we said that would be okay with us because we can go over and do our shopping/eat until then
or so we thought.
