What a great time at AK for EMH! Unfortunately, there was no PM EMH at AK while we were there, but it's on the list for next time! As I went up the big incline on EE, I did manage to see Spaceship Earth and ToT, but no MK. Put that on my to-do list too!

It's weird they only have AK evening EMH's on Mondays! You'd think they'd at least have it one other day too. You have to turn around aways to see the Contemporary and the Castle, but it's beautiful!

I agree with having to stop at Blizzard beach it is such a pain! I am hoping the crowds are just as small in two weeks when we are there. Brooklynn says she is riding Dinosaur so we will see what our picture looks like if that happens. It will be just another one for MeMom to hang over my head. We have been on the actual last safari vehicle of the day and it was by far one of the best we have ever had. We even saw the elephants walking across the bridge over our jeep headed into the barn for the night.

I remember Brooklynn telling me she was going to ride Dinosaur. I hope she likes it! Sounds like the end of the night is the best time of the Safari for you too!

What a great room! It's so big. I wish I could afford a two bedroom...I could throw the kids in their own room. And the safari pics ~ I love the one of the giraffe! So cool. I think they're my favorite safari animal. Note to self...watch the Lion King show this time!

I loved reading about Joe's Crab Shack and singing "I got crabs for my birthday" because I had to do that in Anaheim CA on my birthday/Disneylands 50th, in 2005.

OKW Is so pretty and you had a fantastic view! I love Cosmic Rays and what an awesome EMH at AK!

Sounds like you do so much on the AK late hours! We never got there for evening hrs, but we did get to experience the morning hours and will eventually post about it when I get there in my report.

I would have loved to be on that safari you described, your pictures were great!

Yes, I was ready to get our stuff in the room! Okay are you ready to hear what I got?! They got me stuff at WDW and hid it! I got these cute Mickey head coasters for my coffee table at B/F and I's apartment, a cute WDW glass tray thing, a cute WDW address book and pad of paper/pen, Sis got me this cute WDW coffee cup and WDW coffee!!, and I got this beautiful necklace, and this cute Mickey and Minnie frame from WDW with a picture of B/F and I from the trip in it already and.....I'm now a member of D 23!

Great safari, too! As Jill said, we have found that the earliest ones and the latest ones have been our best!

And anyone who hasn’t been to AK at night during evening EMH’s must do so their next trip! The Tree of Life is even more beautiful all lit up at night.

this is definitely on my "to-do" list for our next trip! i really want to see everything at AK at night. i've seen pictures and it all looks so pretty!

I do have to say there’s two things I could do without though: those annoying bells that everyone thinks they have to ring as loud and hard as they can AND that crazy/psycho looking deer head in one of the displays. Haha. I hope someone knows what I’m talking about!

what about the different kinds of animal "scat" (in other words, feces) in that one display case? ewwwww!!!!!!

This was the first time we’ve ever seen a hippo out of the water and our driver even said that it was a rare thing!

While in line, xoktnox broke to us the bad news….Jon & Kate were getting a divorce. We had asked her earlier to watch the show for us because the previews had shown a big announcement and we were dying to know what it was. That’s too bad for them…and the kids…That’s all I have to say about that because there is another long/crazy thread devoted to them on the Community Board

i was sad, too. i know people are sick of seeing them but it's not THEIR fault the paparazzi follows them everywhere and makes up stories about them. anyway, i feel really bad for the kids. i can see both sides of their stories and i do think they are both being selfish. i will gladly adopt alexis and/or aaden if they ever want to come live with me! i love that little alexis and her "aldergator" and ray just loves aaden.

Tammy, yes you could throw them in their own room if you had a two bedroom! The space is amazing. It was so cool how close we were to the giraffe that Sis would've touched him if we were allowed to.
