Weather is gorgeous. Haven't had many of these days this summer.

Great pool weather and nobody's here to swim with. :(

Anyone care to come over and get a game of pool volleyball going?;)

Must swimming be a group activity? *asks flaps as she runs by and pushes grinning into the pool clothes & all*

Well, I swam for about an hour at the outdoor pool. It has looked pretty dark, and ominous here all day. I think it will rain eventually.

you should go anyway!:D

Not necessarily, but when GG looks like a big loser swimming all alone as the neighbors in the next yard have about 50 people over for a family reunion - yeah - group swimming suddenly becomes preferable.:p

Sounds to me like the neighbors are far too occupied to take note of grinning's "loser" status. And who says solitary swimming is indicative of "loser-ness" anyway? And even if it is, so what? Why forgo an enjoyable swim for fear the neighbors might think you're socially undesirable or sumpin'?

Afterall, since I pushed you in, you're already all wet. :teeth: And in your not-for-swimming clothes to boot!

Now just what might your neighbors think of THAT. :smooth: ;)

I suppose my bigger fear is my neighbors will see me all alone and INVITE me over. Their relatives look even weirder than MY relatives. If I DO swim, I'll stay under water.

Let me see if I've got this straight. ;)

You fear the weirder-than-weird lookin' neighbor relatives might invite you over to swim...

but you invite who-knows-how-weird DIS strangers to a pool party?

I was gonna advise you not to stay under water too long, but on second thought: methinks the damage has already been done... :smooth: :jester:

And my mother swears she never dropped me on my head.

Don't worry 'bout it. :)

I tend to like folks whose mothers dropped them on their heads. ::yes::

On second thought, maybe you should worry 'bout it... ;)

I'll swim with you.

Sounds good. C'mon over. I won't even make you vacuum the pool. ;)

I remember a friend of mine used to make us vacuum her pool before she would let swim in it. It was like swimming pool bribery - but it worked. We didn't have a pool, she did. Possession is 9/10ths of the law or however that goes.:p

My kids are swimming right now...should I send them over?

LOL, you look for someone to swim with, and myself with 2 small children, I yearn for the days I used to be able to lie on my raft all afternoon, sipping a cold beer, getting a tan BY MYSELF. How about if I send my kids to your place? ;)
