For those of you who have been waiting for me to begin my TR, I'm finally starting it!!! :woohoo:

My DH and I are in our 30s and went to WDW from Dec. 22nd and returned on Jan. 3rd. It was amazing! We celebrated our 9th anniversary, Christmas and New Years, and I can't wait to share it with all of you!!! :surfweb:

Here we are in front of the MK Christmas tree:

To give you a quick overview, we stayed at POP Century, went to all the parks and DTD, almost met a famous person, got picked by the Dream Team, and enjoyed just about everything we possibly could. We were also on the Deluxe Dining Plan, so we ate GOOD! I even got to guest blog on another Disney related site. This trip has had so many great moments. :thumbsup2

Now, unlike my past TR, this one will not necessarily be a day by day report. I don’t think I can remember all the details in order!!! So, it will probably be separated more by location and experiences.

Stay tuned. . .now that I’ve downloaded all my pics, I am ready to begin. :yay:

WANT TO READ HOW THIS SAFARI CHRISTMAS WENT POP, CHECK OUT MY PTR HERE!!!

I'm in! I have that exact same sweatshirt...I love it :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to hearing about it. We are planning our first Christmas trip to Disney so I want to learn all I can.

Happy Belated Anniversary.

For those of you who were part of my pre-trippie, you know that we switched resorts, and for this trip, it was the best decision. For those of you who are new to my trip report, welcome. We went with POP Century, deciding that the money was better spent to enjoy the trip, rather than on the resort.

We were in the 80s section, which was far back from the entrance, but there was a quick way via the parking lot to the bus stops, which worked out well. Also, we were thrilled with that area, since those were the years of our childhood.

Here are some pics of the icons from the 80s:

Like every other resort, POP also decorated for Christmas. Here are some shots:

Their ornaments were more homey looking, like this:

Then, of course, we had to decorate our room. We brought a small tree, and I set it up next to my side of the bed. We brought lights and ornaments for it, with us, but as we bought some Disney ornaments, we would put them on. Each night, while we slept, we kept the tree lit, which looked so festive. Within a day, we got Mickey and Minnie stockings, which we attached to the 80s themed framed artwork on the wall:

I also brough Disney related window clings for our room window, which made it so nice, whenever we arrived back each day.

Overall, POP was just as great as when we'd last been there. The icons are great, the food is really good and they have a pretty cool game room. So, not only did we save money, but we had a good time there. Had the weather been warmer, we would have gone in one of the pools. Though there were always people in them, they were usually kids. :goodvibes

I started my first installment. More to come! If we have a snow day over here, tomorrow, I'll add some more right away. :thumbsup2

I'm here, too ...:wave2:

Good to see you. I hope you enjoy my TR. Believe it or not, we didn't switch resorts once we arrived! :rotfl2:

I'm ready. Can't wait to hear all about it!! :)

:wave2: Great to see you here!!! Read on.

Happy Belated Anniversary.

I hope I can give you some great pointers. There is also last year's holiday trip report that I did, if you want to get a jump start on some of the things to expect. I'll do my best to share all that WDW has to offer. You'll have a great time. Have you chosen a resort and dates?

Thank you on the belated anniversary wishes! :goodvibes

YIPEE!!!! Sounds GOOD!:coffee:

Hi! I'm excited to get started, too! :cool1:

Your room looks great! I love that you added the tree and stockings :goodvibes

Before I share more about the trip, I just had to share that this is my favorite view when I go to WDW. As soon as I see this, I know we've arrived!

Great start, looking forward to more.

I'll begin with the Magic Kingdom. I mean it is the original park of WDW, and I absolutely love it there. Since I don't remember the trip in the order that we went, you may notice that our clothes are different in various shots, because I'm combining days here.

We noticed right away that they decorated the front of the park differently than the year before, which was great, since we got photos with different backgrounds.

Here is the train station:

Here are more close-up shots of how pretty they made it all look:

Like in that photo, we loved how they made the red Mickey across the lawn. They really got creative with those poinsettias! Here's another, and these cute, small tree/bushes were all over the front lawn:

Inside the park, one day (I think this was on Christmas day.), I noticed the mayor of the MK, and just had to get a picture taken with him:

Here's someone else from the town within the MK. She was funny and reminded me of those actor types they have walking through the Studios:

COMING UP: Parades, Characters and More MK Fun!!! :cool1:

I cannot believe that in all my years of going to WDW that I never noticed this well on one side of the castle!

How on earth did I ever miss this? Maybe I noticed as a kid and forgot about it, but I honestly don't remember ever seeing this well.

Once we were on the back side of the castle, my DH took this shot, which I kind of like:

It's like I'm welcoming you to my castle! :rotfl2:

You really look like you belong with that castle! :)

Your room decorations are very cute! What a nice trip you had!
