A Day Away From WDW

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but I thought that I would give it a try.

I was thinking about taking a day away from the parks and going to the beach. What is the closest beach to WDW? I think it is Coco beach.

Anyone ever done this?

Hi Jenifer,

We usually only go to WDW for 7 days and I love Sea World too so no time for the beach. I just wanted to say I used to live in Cocoa Beach and it is a nice place to visit. You may want to check out the Space Center also. The famous Ron Jon Surf Shop is located at Cocoa Beach and I still smile when I see someone with one of those tee-shirts. I don't think you can go wrong if it is something you want to do. I say do whatever makes you happy.

Daytona (atlantic side) and Tampa (gulf side) - are about equal distance apart - the drive should take around 90 minutes to 2 hours either way.

I like the gulf side.
