We’re back from our trip and I’m ready to start another Darling Family Trip Report. Welcome back to old friends and I’m happy to make new friends too.
First up are the introductions. These will be short and sweet. The Darling Family consists of me, Mrs. Darling though most people call me Jenny, my loving DH (who magically transforms into Peter Pan at Disney World), our 10 year old Wendy, 8 year old John and 6 year old Michael. To make things easy here is a shot of all of us together taken a few trips ago.
If you are interested in past trip reports just click on the dates and resorts in my siggie and that should take you there.
This trip was a quick one. We were in the world for 3 days and 2 nights. I would have loved to stay longer, but work calls and the kids are in school. We’re going down for a week in January for the Marathon events so we had to make this one short. This trip had its ups and its downs, but overall it was a great success. Jump on board and let the adventure to Neverland begin!

I'm here!!! I can't wait to read all about your trip!!!
to all! I'm happy to see lots of old friends and a few new ones too! I'm planning on getting an update in this morning.
May sound crazy to go for a run the day we left, but I’m training for the January marathon and if there is one thing I’ve learned from past race experiences it is that quality of training greatly influences how much fun race day is. So I had to get those miles in. I arrived home around 7:30 and everyone was up and excited. The bags were packed and we headed out the door around 8:15.
Gave us our first laugh of the trip.
We parked and headed toward the lobby. Here is a shot of everyone walking with the monorail above. Felt like we were home.

After finishing up the yummy pineapple goodness we headed back to the car and made the short drive over to Shades of Green for our 1 night stay. For anyone that doesn’t know Shades of Green is the military hotel that is right across from the Polynesian. We are eligible to stay there because DH is a DOD civilian. It is a nice hotel with very large rooms for a very reasonable price. We figured that would be a great place to stay for our party night because of its close location to the Magic Kingdom. We didn’t plan on being in the room much at all so it didn’t make sense to shell out the big bucks for one of the Disney monorail resorts when this was almost as convenient for a third of the price. We checked in and headed to our room. As we went through the lobby we passed by this Mickey Mouse.
Looking forward to reading more.
