A Daily Lesson in Parenting and Manners: A TR by a real life Wicked Stepmom!

Well, this installment was too full of wonderfulness for me to comment on everything that touched my heart. I'll narrow it down a bit.

Yay Sally, sticking up for those in wheelchairs who wouldn't be able to see the parade if the rulebreakers come along! The world needs more like her, people who will fight for those like my son.

Secondly, I love your parade pictures. I am a close-up photo kind of girl, so I really missed a lot of the big picture. Thanks for showing me the entire float of the treasure chest Tinkerbell was riding. All I got were a couple of blurry pictures of her way up on top, pointing and giggling!

Love how Sally didn't want her brother to miss his hero. That's love, I'll tell ya, no matter what she says!

And lastly, I am SO happy that this was just the first day. I have so much good reading ahead (and yes, I was eating my dinner while reading your Illuminations story; I forgive you, though. )

"Sleeping Beauty Pink" got my attention...we have two Barbie Sleeping Beautys. One is in blue and one is in pink so therefore they fight over who gets to be Sleeping Beauty Pink!

Love the TR. Will definitely be showing the parade pics to the DDs. They will flip over the Tink pics!

Hey MissCammie! I just finished catching up, and boy! What a magical first day you all ended up having! If I see Captain Jack half as much in our entire trip as you saw him in one day, I will be a very happy girl....

Okay, so Teddy is officially the awesomest little kid EVER. Combustible fuels? Had me rolling in the aisles! His excitement over "Wishes - PPP edition"? Priceless! But my favorite part? His declaration that Jack Sparrow is totally a real pirate just like he thought all along! I hope I have a little boy like him someday. And I am so calling Tink "Pinkerbelle" from now on.

Please tell Sally that I think she is one of the coolest princesses around. She must be super-duper special and beautiful for Belle herself to give her a wave! Anyway, I love hearing about Sally coming out of her shell and gaining confidence in herself. It gives me the warm and fuzzies inside. Her sticking up for you when you went to see Lady Tremaine ("No cuts!" OMG, I wish I had been there to see that!) was awesome and I love her righteous indignation of blatant RULEBREAKERS! She and I sound like two peas in a pod on that one....

As for you, I loved your Snow White costume! Two words: So. Cute. And your "encounter" with Captain Jack while on the Crocs mission? Another two words: Lucky. Dog. I loved all of your pictures from the PPP parade, and for a moment, I actually felt like I was there! Thanks for spreading the magic that you and your family experienced and allowing all of our hearts to be warmed by the pixie dust and love that you all share. I'll be waiting patiently for the next update! See you again soon!

Way to go Sally you make me proud.....if she does not become a judge then she definitely needs to be an advocate for the disabled...she is something...not many kids like her.

Hey everyone,
I just have to say THANK YOU for all your wonderful comments. It's been a blessing of sorts that I've been able to sit and write about our wonderful trip. I never expected people to be so kind and generous with their thoughts and wishes for us.

Jay and I are heading up to his parent's place tonight. (funeral, sad...great uncle) anyhow I won't be around until tomorrow afternoon/evening probably. But I wanted to tell everyone thanks so much for reading and for being so positive.

I want to respond to each and every person and I WILL when I get a chunk of time to sit and think!

MissCammie, those kids are so incredibly blessed to have you in their lives. You can feel how much you love them just by reading your writing. Those are two amazingly special children, especially Sally.

By the way, this report should come with a warning: "Don't read when suffering from PMS!"

MissCammie, your trip report is addictive! Like others have said your writing ability is wonderful! I have my box of tissues right next to my computer! I am so proud of Sally. What a awesome child to care so much about the people in the wheelchairs. You must be pretty proud of her! I am so glad she got to relax and enjoy the parade. She is a sweetheart.

Now the little guys is just so cute! I love what he calls Tink or should I say Pink? What a sweetheart.

I have to jump in here as an official fan!

I must admit I find myself laughing quite a bit. I am in love with Sally. I used to be a nanny for a little girl exactly like her named Sam. The righteous wrath was a personal favorite of mine, and reminded me of Sam. Difficult personalities at times, but well worth all the trouble! I think my favorite Sally moment thus far in your thread was the "That... was GOD" statement. Sam had something similar, only her statement du jour was "Divine Intervention!! See even GOD thinks you shouldn't do THAT!!"

I can not wait to read about the rest of your trip. I hope Sally will learn how to relax a bit and realize that just because her Mommy has more issues than Newsweek, it does not mean that she has to. I hope Teddy stays precisely the same! What a little character. Keep up the great writing.
