A Daily Dose of Disney Drama! 5/02/13 PG 53 THE END

Glad to see you updated! :yay: Love your pics of the Fall Decorations at DTD. I love that big Mickey inflatable pumpkin.

Thank you for posting the wedding pics, Caitlin looked beautiful! That dress is really pretty, it looked really pretty from the back too, that was a nice one in front of the stained glass Window.

:) The decorations were really cute! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I loved it!

Glad you liked them. The dress is even prettier in person! Thank you!

Hi Everyone! My apologies for the long wait between posts!

That's okay. We know what you've had to deal with recently.

So you're forgiven... this time.

Next time.... not so much.

No offense to Saratogs Springs but when we got to our ground level studio after having our garden view, club level room at the YC, well there was no comparison.

I hate to tell you this...

I made the mistake of telling this to Saratoga Springs and he took offense anyway.

Sad, but true.

Dale and I were both sort of bummed out. So much so we didn't even take any pictures.

You needed Caitlin there. Now she would've been clicking away!

We moped in the room for a bit

You had a moped in the room? How cool is that? It must've really helped you get around, huh?

Personally I would prefer a Segway, but...

We were pleasantly surprised to see that they now decorate DTD for autumn. I'm not sure how new that is but we didn't remember seeing that before.

I don't remember that either.

Dale did point out this shirt and asked why it had "Zooey Deschanel" on it. Do you think she knows they are using her likeness?

She knows now. I'm sure you've heard by now that she's suing Disney for misrepresentation and violation of her right of publicity.

Okay, I made that up. But you believed it for a second, didn't you?

He then decided to see what it would be like if her had hair again :rotfl:
DSC00357.jpg

I so think he should have bought that.

Dale never had Legos as a kid

:scared1: What???? Oh, the poor, poor guy. That's a rite of passage that no male should be without.

Well just before our trip, unbeknownst to him, I had ordered him the Black Pearl. He spotted it in the store and was like a little kid he wanted it so bad. Like any good mom I told him the standard, "we'll come back for it" :rolleyes1

:lmao: I do believe you are not the first parent to use that line! But possibly the first to get her husbad to not buy Legos.

You see when she was a child and she'd get excited, at a birthday or something, she would ummm throw up

No, little Caitlin, we aren't going to Disney. Nope. No, we're at the airport to... ummm... pick up a package... on the airplane... No, no. We're just buckling into the seats because the plane might rock a bit from the wind... (Geez Dale! When is that Dramamime going to kick in!!!)

Pretty cool place, huh?

::yes::

We went back to the resort and tried calling her again. No answer. We decided to go to bed but once again I ended the day with an uneasy feeling

Up Next...the Princess princess: posts

uh, oh.

But thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Thank you and I will try to avoid there being a "next time" :)

OOoo a Segway would be cool!

Good. I'd hate to think I'm just getting old and forgetting things!

Me too :rotfl2:

I know. He was deprived!

It was more like everytime we went to Chuck E Cheese. That rat feared her :rotfl:

Yea more drama is ahead!

Hey everyone! It is finally time for me to pipe in! About time right?! :thumbsup2

As most of you know, those that followed along with our Mother Daughter February 2012 TR, I was having some health issues prior to our trip. I had been to the Drs a couple times and had to have a CAT scan done, which resulted in finding out I had a cyst. Well the Wednesday before I was supposed to leave I started feeling a lot of pain at work. I didn't really think anything of it because I knew the cyst caused minor pain but it was usually gone after taking an Advil.

This time, not so much. Thursday morning I woke up feeling more pain and exhausted. I probably would have skipped school if I didn't have a math test that day. I started having cold and hot flashes at school and by the end of the day I was ready to crash! I had been texting mom and dad a bit but I was hoping that this would all pass and everything would be fine by the time I flew out the next morning.

That night I was to go out to dinner with my grandma and grandpa. At dinner I lost my appetite and could not eat without feeling like I was going to be sick. I figured it was just nerves and I would be fine. A lot was going to happen on this trip, so it was normal to feel anxious and as mom so kindly shared when I have anxiety I usually get sick. After dinner I went home and went to bed. Around ten I woke up feeling horrible and got sick  I got sick a couple times and then crawled back into bed and contacted mom and dad. I really wasn't in the mood to go to WDW. I was feeling horrible and flying with my stomach issue, did not sound like a good idea. We talked through it and came to the conclusion I was probably just over excited and I would feel better in the morning.

The morning came way to early with my grandpa picking me up at 4 to go to the airport. We packed up my bags and headed out. I am not quite sure why but we parked in the parking lot furthest away from our terminal and got on a shuttle to go to the terminal. On the shuttle grandpa reached into his pocket and found he had forgotten his phone in the car :rolleyes2 Instead of running back to get it though we just headed through security and to get some breakfast. I was feeling hungry so I had some fruit with some coffee and was feeling a bit better. I was sure to keep myself drugged up on tylenol and that seemed to help out a lot. We were soon boarding our first flight which went well and when we got to Atlanta for our layover I called mom and dad and kept them updated.

Finally we were on the flight that would take us to beautiful Florida! I was excited for this trip and since I was feeling better thought that the worst was past me. I still felt pretty tired but I thought that since I got up at 4 it was normal ::yes:: When we landed we quickly got our bearings and headed to the ME area!

There really is nothing like riding the ME for the first time on your trip! It really makes you excited and makes everything real! I started crying once we were near DTD and could see our resort. I had been needing a vacation after all of the drama of the past month and was anxious to see mom and dad. Once we got to the resort we headed to relax and wait for mom and dad.

Sorry for no pictures

Oh Caitlin - no wonder you felt sick! You really had a lot on your mine - wrapping up school, traveling, and meeting up with your future DH. So glad you were starting to feel better. I hope you continue to feel better! Something tells me, maybe not. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Yeah I wrote that update pretty optimistically :rotfl2: It actually didn't end up being anything that was on my mind let's just put it that way...

Your drama is giving ME a stomach ache with anxiety for you!

Your grandpa sounds a bit like my dad - parking in the farthest lot; I hope his forgetting his phone isn't cause for MORE drama.

I won't I will be back after mom writes about their morning :)
Well, tell her to get on her horse and giddy up! ;)

Aw! Yeah it was pretty bad!

It actually does but not for a couple more days :thumbsup2

I will!

Dawn: I love that you play "mom" to Dale! I have to do the very same thing!!!

We love T-Rex and eat there a lot but I never realized the thing above the bar moves occasionally!! I have tons of pictures of it but we always sit in the jungle room (that's what we call it anyway)!

Caitlin: Sorry that you were not feeling well! I have a feeling this TR is about to get really interesting...as if it weren't already very interesting!

No matter how old they get, boys will be boys :rotfl:

At first I was like "did that just move?!" If I were a drinker it would probably have freaked me out :rotfl2:

Yep,the drama is nowhere near over :rolleyes2

Caitlin's last post told of her morning spent travelling to Disney.

Meanwhile back at Disney.....

Dale and I woke up very early to sound of a cell phone going off. When we checked the phone it was a text from Caitlin saying she and my dad were headed to the airport. We assumed she must be feeling better and hoped all would be fine.

We got up and got ready as we had a 7:30 adr at Old Key West.

DSC00379.jpg

As you can tell from the picture it was a hot, humid and hazy morning.

DSC00370.jpg

For those of you unfamiliar with OKW it is a DVC resort and has a really cute restaurant called "Olivia's". It looks like the kind of place Hemmingway would have hung out in.

DSC00371.jpg

As you can see an adr wasn't really necessary as we had the place practically to ourselves.
DSC00372.jpg

DSC00373.jpg

I ordered the "olivia's breakfast"
DSC00374.jpg

Dale went with
DSC00375.jpg

(pork chop and eggs)

We both enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. An added perk of dining here is they give a 10% discount to Disney Visa and Debit card holders :thumbsup2

When we finished eating we got in the car and headed to the Magic Kingdom. We should have parked at the TTC but instead we were bad :worried: Instead of parking at the TTC we drove to the Contemporary and told the guard we were dining at The Wave. I know, shame on us! I'm not sure he really believed us as he sent us to a remote area of the lot but we parked and walked over to the park.

We entered the park and strolled past the Halloween decorations

and headed down Main Street, toward

DSC00382.jpg

(honestly, does that sight ever get old?!)

We passed this
DSC00383.jpg

on our way here
DSC00384.jpg

We were able to walk onto Peter Pan which is on my all time favorites list.

We then headed over to another classic attraction which we both love! Again we walked on!

DSC00387.jpg

We were even able to grab a pic of the bride

DSC00388.jpg

When we left the HM it was time to take a cruise through the jungle

DSC00394.jpg

After the educational cruise, we saw the backside of water!, we ran into everyone's favorite duck!

DSC00398.jpg

We noticed that the Liberty Tree Tavern was decked out for the season too!

DSC00401.jpg

We then decided to try and head over to the New Fantasyland area and see how the plans were coming along. We caught this glimpse of Beast's castle.

(we are so excited to dine here in May!)

Continued next post!

As we headed over to visit the 100 Acre Wood we got a text saying Caitlin and my dad had landed! What a relief!

DSC00406.jpg

After Pooh we went over and rode Dumbo. Now if you have followed us before you know I get motion sickness. I cannot do roller coasters, anything that feels like flying (yes Soarin I mean you) or things that go in circles. Despite my limitations I decided to ride Dumbo with Dale since he said he had never ridden it.

DSC00412.jpg

DSC00414.jpg

It ended up being a stupid decision as I had a headache and felt dizzy afterward :scared:

When we got off the ride we decided to start heading out of the park and back to the resort so we could see my dad and Caitlin when they arrived.

When we passed the candy store we heard it calling our names so we felt obligated to step inside

DSC00417.jpg

DSC00419.jpg

Of course we couldn't leave empty handed! So Dale got a smore while I chose a strawberry. YUM!!

DSC00420.jpg

We ate our snacks and then said "good bye" to the Magic Kingdom
DSC00422.jpg

We walked to the CR and got the car and drove back to SSR to see Caitlin and grandpa!

Up next...the Princess is finally at Disney!

The new Fantasyland area looks so great! I can't wait to really be able to explore and try out the BOG restaurant! That strawberry looked amazing!!
