Day 6, May 3rd…

So after a stop at BC to drop off my new found stuff, I decided to take the bus to MK. I am determined to watch Spectro as I usually skip it due to crowds. The crowds this week were pretty low, so I am giving it a shot tonight. I usually drive and if I am at the park until closing, I will walk to CR and take the resort monorail to TTC. After a short wait the MK bus pulls up and off we go, with no other stops.

I tried something new tonight, I went bagless, I had my Bermudas that had side pockets with buttons, so my wallet went in one and my camera in the other. What a great feeling it was.

First up I grabbed a FP for JC, as this and BTMRR need to be done after dark. The line for POTC was the longest I have seen it in a while, so I skipped it. Off to HM and then dinner at my favorite CS, Tuna with a side of slaw at CHH again.

I headed to Tink’s Treasures and got my niece whose b-day was coming up some princess makeup with the $15 gift card from DVC. (wasn’t that generous of me ) Wandered through the shop in the castle as it is probably the last time it will be there for me.

I decided to sit in on Monsters LF again.

PSA to parents, do not let your small children climb on the metal railings while you two get lost in each other’s eyes. Yes I did witness this and the kid didn’t get hurt, but only because of quick action of another guest.

So we are let in the theatre and as the seats are filing up I notice my lovely face on the big screen , announcing to everyone that I had kissed a monster. Now will someone tell me how Disney knows about my past beaus?

It is getting dark and I have my JC FP. Yes this ride is cheesy and the jokes are old, but it is part of WDW and I hope it doesn’t go the way of Mr. Toad.

It’s still plenty of time before Spectro so I try to see if I can get on BTMRR without to much of a wait. COOL. The line isn’t too bad. By the time I get of BTMRR it is close to Spectro time and there is a great spot right where they pull the rope, right before the parade goes backstage again.

Does anyone else find these creepy?

OK, this along with Pennywise over at BW, makes me wonder sometimes if the Imagineers have some sort of dark sense of humor???

After the parade was over I made it to the hub to watch Wishes. Disney really got this one right, I love Wishes!

Towards the end I made my way over to the Plaza Ice cream parlor and as it ended darted in ahead of the crowds. With ice cream in hand I headed towards the bus stops.

Much to my happiness, I see a very short line for YC/BC. There is a very long line for BW/Swan/Dolphin. I ask the folks in front why ours is so short and they are actually staying at BWV, but since that line was so long, they decided to get on this one and get off at YC and walk. Bus arrived shortly thereafter, I got a seat and off we went.

I was happy to have taken the bus tonight.

Can't wait to here more about your trip. Glad to hear good things about the bus transportation. This will be the first time staying on property and I have been a little apprehensive about it, but I have been hearing nothing but good this, no matter where anyone has been staying.

Glad to know that I am not the only one who thinks those thinks are creepy.

PrincessV - I too miss Toad terribly and will be right with you if anything ever happened to JC (though DL still has Toad if you need a fix )
And yes there is a plan and I have mostly stuck it with some deviation , but I really deviate on day 7.

Day 7, May 4rd…

So today I was supposed to get up early and go to Busch Gardens. Well, that’s not happening. When I got back to the room last night I realized I just didn’t have the energy to get up and face that drive/traffic. I really want to go, but it’s not happening this trip.

I take my time getting out of bed and showered/dressed. I decide to head over to Spoodles for breakfast and then I will head to DTD to exchange the business card holder.

I was seated quickly with no ADR around 8:30 – 9:00. I had the breakfast platter and thought it was good. I would definitely come back here. I headed back to BC to get the card holder and get some tea at the marketplace. Off to DTD.

Nope, didn’t buy a thing, nada, zilch. Just exchanged the card holder and was on my way. I figure I would go over to AK as I hadn’t spent much time there.

I soon as I entered the park I headed over to EE. As I am walking I see all these people wearing Dream FP’s. So I followed the trail. AH-HA, there’s the Dream squad at the exit of the gift shop for EE. So I walk into the gift shop, my heart is pounding. I wait a few moments and exit out and make eye contact with one of them. And nothing. Nada. Zilch. Ok I am being greedy and with all the good karma I had this week why try and ruin it. I get a regular FP and head off.

I head over to the Flights of Wonder show, which I have never seen and get in line. It’s a short wait and we are let in to the theatre. Now while I really enjoyed this show, it was hot!!! I would not recommend going in the summer as it is outdoors. Just my 2 cents.

I still had some time for my FP and went over to Dinosaur. Still wish we had Indy like in DL, but this will do for now. I wandered a bit in some gift shops waiting for my FP time.

As my FP time drew near I headed back to Asia. After a short wait I was near the front of the line. The group in front of me consisted of some school kids and chaperone. As the group were assigned rows the chaperone had a bit of a hissy fit saying she wasn’t riding alone and stood off to the side and said she would see them when they got off. Um Ok chaperone. I’m up and the CM tells me Row One! Woo Hoo. A very nice lady who was also there with another school group joined me. Turns out she was originally from the same town as my cousins on Long Island. Yeah, you can go ahead and sing that Small World song again, but I will be continuing with my TR. Feel free to catch up when you are done.

I love this ride and the front row was AWESOME!

It was still pretty hot today, and as we all know this park is hotter than them all.

Since I had never seen AKL lodge before, I figure today was a good day to ride over there. It was easy enough to find and I have to say while yes it is an impressive hotel, I find the remoteness of it too much. I love the Epcot area and don’t think I would like being so far away from the action.

I was getting hungry and decided to go in search of lunch. And of all the places to eat in WDW, I ended up at the McD’s near All Stars . I don’t know if I was just tired, hot or what, but it didn’t taste as good as what I am used to. I picked at my Big Mac and fries and left.

I was tired and headed back for a nap as I have another Dismeet scheduled for tonight.

Hate birds always skip FOW. Van Saun Park just opened a parakeet exhibit, you gets sticks covered in peanut butter then rolled in birdseed. You then enter a tent filled with like 100 or so parakeets and they fly around and land on you to eat the seed. It it the most GROSS thing I have ever heard of. Apparently a big hit with the kids though. DS4 allergic to nuts, thank goodness I dont have to go.

How did you like AKL? Did you see where the DVC villa section is? Just got some info on it and was considering it but DH thinks maybe we should just add on at VWL.

LOL, considering what I spent on the other 2 trips earlier in the week, the damage was already done (and the AMEX bill just came today )
