How do I know if my cruise has a Pirate/Frozen/Star Wars/Formal night?

Are the Navigators in a particular place that you have to know about in order to get them, or are they left in your room every day?

Are there any limitations on how much luggage you can bring on board? My last cruise we only had 1 carry on per person, but that was because of the airline restrictions, so I don't remember if there were any restrictions on board.

Most cruises have a Pirate night, except Alaska, and, I believe, the northern European cruises.

If your cruise is a Star Wars one, it'll be noted on the reservation.

Most cruises less than 7 nights don't have an actual "formal" night, but a "Dress Up Optional" night. Cruises of 7 nights and longer tend to have both "formal" and "semi-formal" nights. It appears that some Med cruises this year have no set formal night, however.

Navigators are placed in your room each night for the next day. You can also get them at Guest Services.

The DCL website does specifiy 2 (checked) bags per person, but I've never seen that enforced. Just be aware that you'll need to store empty bags in your room during your cruise.

Thank you!
We are doing a 7 night Alaskan cruise this time. Last time we had such limited luggage space, we didn't really have enough room for formal and pirate outfits. I want to make sure I have room for both, if needed, and a warm coat.

Is there a place in the room to keep empty suitcases? I can't remember what we did with ours last time.

Well, the Alaska cruise don't have Pirate night, so you don't need to bring those along.

I'm usually wearing my (warm) coat, so I don't need to pack it.

Suitcases can fit under the bed, or in the closet.

The Alaska cruises will have Frozen Night. No Star Wars, no Pirates. Also, with the new beds on the Wonder, you can store your suitcases underneath very easily.

The secret with Alaska is to layer. I usually take a fleece and a rain proof jacket. Add scraves, gloves and hats as needed.

Do people dress up for Frozen night? Like, in costumes or Disney Bounding or something?
Well, I didn't attend the Frozen night on our last cruise (it was just WAAAAAAAY too cold), but I'm gonna say "probably". I doubt that you would be the only one, if you did.

Navigators are also on the DCL Navigator App that you can get from the App Store and when you are on the ship download the information.

We saw a lot of little girls in Elsa and Anna outfits, but we didn't see many adults dress up for our Frozen night on our Norway cruise. Everybody did wear all of their Norwegian sweaters, scarves and hats though.

Oh, and we did see several Olaf costumes.
