A Couple of Quick Questions

Hi Folks,

Just over a month until mine and my son's yearly visit to DLP (although going May this time, just for a change!!!), and I've got a couple of questions you guys might be able to help me with if you don't mind:-

- Is the new version of the Brit's Guide worth getting if I've got the old one? There's always the PH voucher which is swaying me, just wondered if there's much new in it?

- How much if is Buffalo Bill's? I'm a shareholder and I see we get tickets for e49 for adults and e33 for children, but is this cheap and is there a cheaper way to get tickets?

- How much are Peter Pan outfits at DLP? My son is Peter Pan mad at the mo and I want to get him one, I would prefer to get it there as part of a holiday treat but the Disney Stores have got them for £20 which I don't think is unreasonable, and I don't want to find out they're £30 at DLP?

- Linked to the above, do we get a shareholders discount at the Disney Stores, it says there's a 10% discount at Disney Stores Europe on the website but I seem to remember someone saying a while ago that the discount had ended in the UK?

- Is there a new park DVD out, I've got the one with the cheesy family doing the rounds but I heard there was a new one on the way?

Anyway, hope you can and thanks in advance.

Cheers
John

Another quickie!

Is the supermarket in the Val d'Europe open on a Sunday?

We arrive on a Sunday and I usually pop over to pick up supplies for the week.

Thanks again,
John

It was closed on a Sunday when we were there, as is the case with most supermarkets/hypermarkets.

I'd buy before you go. I remember most of the outfits we looked at for DD being more expensive at DLRP.

I've used mine this year ( I think it was in the shareholder AGM summary that this discount was available again but you have to do it in store.)

Have a great time , and remember not to leave your jacket in Salon Mickey ;)

Hi John, the tickets are normally 59 euros for adults and 39 euros for children. You can get also get discount on tickets if you are an annual passholder, it's 15% off, but that still doesn't give quite such a good price as with the shareholders discount. :)

Thanks for the replies guys!

Angela, I'd forgotten all about the jacket until you reminded me, good job you were there that day as I lived in that jacket all week. Can't wait to go back to Salon Mickey, really liked it in there.

Cheers
John

I don't think the new DVD is out yet - haven't heard anything about it. And I agree with Angela about the Peter Pan outfit - buy before you go. I'm sure the outfits are more expensive at DLP. Could you smuggle it in to the suitcase and then put it in a DLP bag when you get there?!!

I can confirm that it is always closed on Sunday along with the entire mall. The only thing that is open there is the La Vallee Village outlet center.

This is of absolutely no use to you John - but Morgan, do you know if the supermarket and mall still opens on Sundays in December?!! I'm just wondering, because we definitely shopped there on a December Sunday about three years ago!

we bought libby a princess outfit (well nanny gave us the euro's), and it was the dearest in the shop and it worked out at 55 euros's, if i remember rightly jake was looking at a peter pan outfit and they were also around 55euro's, he decided not to get one, but got a load of figures instead. hope this helps

Odds are yes. In France stores are allowed to open the 3 Sundays before Xmas. Almost all stores in Paris open then so I would think it would be open as well.

Hello All,

Thanks for all the replies.

Hopefully going to get the Peter Pan suit this weekend from the Disney store on Leeds or the White Rose Centre, £20 plus they've confirmed I'll get a 10% discount with my Shareholders Card. I might give it to my son the night before we go and let him travel in it (bar the toy knife of course!).

Shame the supermarket isn't open on a Sunday, although I do have to admit I've got to grudingly admire the French for keeping Sunday a none shopping day, can anyone remember when we were the same? Proabably head over Monday evening and get bits, were there til the Friday so it still makes sense.

Going to use the Shareholders discount for Buffalo Bill's, there's 8 of us going and you can only get 5 per day, so use it for the adult tickets and pay full price for the kids. Great show, so got to go!

Anyone any advice on the Brit's Guide, is there much difference?

By the way, I've just put my son to bed and he's in the next room. He's singing 'Following the Leader' at the top of his voice!

Thanks again all
John

Hello again,

Right, I've ordered the new Brit's Guide from Play.com, plus went into Leeds today and bought the Peter Pan outfit. It had £25 on the tag, but come up as £20 on the till plus I got my 10% shareholder discount, feels good flashing the card doesn't it?

Anyway, the suit it now hung up in my son's wardrobe awaiting the big day.

Cheers all, you were a big help.

John
