A couple of ?? for those that buy Disney gift cards?

You don't need to add additional merchandise but you must use the REDCard when you check out. The check out screen is odd. It will show you the balance without the GC applied but your REDCard will only be charged the difference between the discounted Disney GC price and the amount on the Target GC.

You are limited to only 3 GCs in a single transaction.
Thank you!

Is there anything you cannot pay for with the Disney gift cards?

Anything that wouldn't take a credit card doesn't take GC's. So balloon vendors, any carts or people that are walking around selling stuff. Those tend to be cash only.

Not everything at DTD, too. Only the stores actually owned by Disney (so not Lego store, not all the restaurants, etc).

Did you buy them online??? I have bought mine at the store and am keeping the reciept with each one. The reciept shows it is activated.

No I bought them online. I just have no faith in their customer service any longer if something does go wrong. Hours of calls to India, explaining over and over and being transferred again and again. And being referred to Disney and then back etc.

I've been wondering if you ever got that last $150 activated. I still haven't been able to get one of mine from Target.com activated. Believe me, I have lived your pain, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Not yet..I finally got Disney to un lock them since Target had tried to activate them so many times they got locked out. We took our trip long ago. But I do have it on my to do list..with dread..to start the whole long calling process again.

I buy one $50 card every week at BJs. $47.99 every time. I have lost all faith in Target. I buy them knowing we will have at least one annual trip. I just got back from Princess weekend, and I used the magic band to pay for everything. Also bought an Annual Pass using the gift cards. Then I went to registration and used my gift cards to pay the credit card bill. No new charges on any credit card after a week at WDW, so I am very pleased.

We will take a family trip this summer, and we plan to use the gift cards for hotel and food costs, as well as my son's park ticket. My only cash expenditure will be airfare, which is plenty! I do wish I could add the cards to the MDE directly, the same way you can link a ticket. That would be lovely!

We have 2 cars that hold about 17 gallons each. Doesn't the transaction stop when you take the hose out of the first car? [If it makes a difference our Kroger stores in Phoenix are called Fry's, and they do have Fry's gas stations, but we usually use our fuel rewards at Circle K.

The transaction only stops if you place the nozzle back on the pump. When we take 2 cars we either pull up on opposite sides of the pump, then fill up both cars OR pull up one car up behind the other, fill up one car, lay the nozzle on the ground, one car drives away, the other car pulls forward for gas.

Cool - I didn't know that! Thanks!

That makes sense too! although it would Stink if you lost that gift card. :faint: I wonder if you can take the Disney Target gc and trade them for a reload able at Disney Store? :confused3

I am wondering the same thing. I would like different designs for the different people going on our trip and Target only has one design.

Thanks.

I asked at my Disney Store here in STL and I was told that the pre paid gc's from Target were a separate thing from what they sold in store. Therefore, I was told that I could not bring those in and load them all onto one card (or a few instead of 20). It should all be the same thing, but I am only going on what I was told :confused3

I now have 2 gc's that have money one them, that way if I do lose one it's not a huge deal. I plan to take pics of both our cards on my phone, front and back, so I have proof of them, just in case.

Just found this on the Disney Store Web site:
"Can I purchase a new DisneyStore.com Online Gift Card using another Online Gift Card, a Disney Gift Card, a Disney Store Gift Card, a DisneyStore.com Gift Card or a Disney Rewards® Card?
You can purchase a DisneyStore.com Online Gift Card by using a Disney Rewards® Card. However, you cannot purchase an Online Gift Card using another Online Gift Card, a Disney Gift Card, a Disney Store Gift Card, an Enterprise Gift Card or a DisneyStore.com Gift Card."

So, there goes my idea of getting different Characters.
