It's snowing heavily outside today. I'm tired, cold and :bored: (Gotta love winter in NE.)

Let's share some Favorites. Your choice.

Favorite tip, favorite photo, favorite website, dream equipment, favorite spot for taking pictures, favorite person, place, thing, etc.

OK, I'll start.

I have to say this is one of my all time favorite shots here on the PB. It was taken by Tuffcookie and won one first place in the Characters weekly photo contest last year. Beautiful shot! :thumbsup2

I'll play
Favorite rarely used, but so glad I have them my bag Optech Rain Sleeves. They took me a while to learn how to put them on properly (in the field, without the directions) but wouldn't go out shooting without them.
Hand Warmers I use both the chem packs and the old fashioned fuel stick ones

I also keep a energy bar in my bag. Nothing like getting the hungry feeling and blood sugar drop in the middle of nowhere.

Something I will be buying as soon as I can get to the store, and sorry I didn't name the product a Snot Spot My nose tends to run when it's cold outside, and I never seem to have tissues in my pocket.
Current want that is on the affordable list a car window mount, I am looking at this one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/361796-REG/Bogen_Manfrotto_3292390RC2_3292_Car_Window_Pod.html anyone have any experience with this set up? I would be under the 11lb rating I am doing more bird shooting and one of the locations we shot from the car as a blind. I got some nice shots of Cedar Waxwings (uncommon in this area in the winter from what the Ranger said) last week hand holding, but really need a tripod set up.
Dream equpiment Canon Telephoto EF 400mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens of course then I would have to update my body (currently Canon XT)
Favorite current locations to shot Fort Lee NJ, and the Great Swamp NWS
Current Favorite Photog Website DPChallenge

Here is one I took a couple of years ago. It is one of my personal favorites. It shows the gazebo at beautiful Lake Anna Park in our town during Spring. (In good weather my grandkids like to run around the inside of the gazebo!:) )

Very nice shot. Gotta love the Bluebonnets! I'll be down in the Texas hill country in a month and hope to see some nice wildflower vistas.

Thanks! Spring does seem to already be on its way. You might be in luck, depending how far south you are. They usually peak mid-April here in North Texas.

Yep, I'm right here in McKinney. I usually head down to Fredericksburg/Kerrville in early April but my event is a little early this year. It might be too early for the wildflowers but when they're in full bloom there is no better place to see the vast expanses and seas of color.
