So, I'm DIEING to tell you guys our huge surprise of this trip, but that's not until the last day, unfortunatly.
Let's start's start!
The night before, we had finished packing, organizing, ect. So all we had to do in the morning was get dressed, pack up the car, and hit the road!
I woke up, wait. No. I was WOKEN up at 4:15 am. That's a whole 3 hours earlier then school days. But, I was excited, so it didn't matter! The only problem was, I was tired, and you couldn't tell I was excited
So, I got dressed, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, picked up my pillow and a blanket, picked up my carry-on case and went downstairs. I was the last one down. But, then again, I always am.
My brothers headed toward the pantry for some kind of breakfast item, only to be told we would be going out for breakfast. Yay! I love going out for breakfast!
So, my dad finished packing up the car. We all got in. Took a few minutes to get our squares* situated, then headed off! We left our home at 4:45 am.
*It's our personal area in the car. We (the kids) have it set up to our likings. I have my pillow to my side, my shoes on the ground. My phone, iPod, and DS in the little shelf thingy on the door. My blanket either infront of me or on me. And my Yeti
next to me.
So, for the next 3 hours DB's and I constantly kept asking when we would be eating breakfast and where we would be eating breakfast. When you're in the car for such a long time, you get bored fast, and you want to do SOMETHING so the first thing that pops to mind is if you can have a snack.
My dad wants to eat at Chick-fil-a. DB12 is informing us they don't have any good breakfast items and that we should go eat at Bojangles. But, my dad has already decided on Chick-fil-a. Problem is, there is NO chick-fil-a's on any of the exits on the highway we're on (we looked it up, incase you were wondering). So, FINALLY at around 7:30, we pull into a Chick-fil-a. DB's and I are all "starving" and we order our breakfast.
We eat it all up and head back to the car. Only 6-7 more hours.
We drive and drive. Then FINALLY. We come onto those Disney roads. You can tell because all their sign poles are so colorful (and magical!). Well, I was sleeping, and no one bothered to wake me up to tell me we were going under the Disney World sign until... we were under the Disney World sign. No magical pics of it this trip ): And, since we weren't staying at a resort on the MK monorail line, no pics of the Magic Kingdom overhead sign either ):
This was DB10's expression when we FINALLY arrived (at 2:00)
Haha
Well, I managed to get one Magical Sign Picture this year.
I made my dad STOP in the middle of the entrance so I could take a picture
We drove in and parked in at the main lobby area parking lot.
We all wanted to go check in, and since my mom had done the online check-in, we didn't have to wait in the HUGE line that there was! (The Magical Express had just unloaded). We checked in, told where our building was located and the nice check-in lady sent us on our way.
We followed the check-in-ladies intructions on how to get to our building... but when we got to the entrance to the parking lot, it was closed because they were re-doing (i dont know what it's called) the street or whatever. Guess the lady forgot to mention that to us. So, we pulled into the parking lot next to it and got our stuff out. There was going to need to be 2 trips.
So, we walked and walked and soon found Building 28 (Alligator Bayou). We walked up the stairs (We were on the second floor) and over to our room number, 2846.
WAIT. You want to know my FAVORITE thing about Port Orleans? No elevators! Most people would hate that. Not me. I'm scared to death of elevators. So, that was a plus, for me atleast. No one else liked that part.
So, we opened up the door... and saw...
It was cute. Not the Polynesian, but it was just fine.
We got situated, unpacked our clothes, then headed off to... MAGIC KINGDOM!
But, you'll have to wait for that update until tomorrow, or the next day
