Pre Trip Report Saturday 16th December 2006 - Monday 1st January 2007

Day 2 Sun 17th Dec AK and Boma.
Day 3 Mon 18th Dec EPCOT and Le Cellier
Day 4 Tues 19th Dec MK and Narcossees
Day 5 Wednesday 20th Dec MGM and Spoodles
Day 6 Thursday 21st December 2006 Day AK (or Golf!) and Kona Cafe
Day 7 Fri 22nd Dec EPCOT, Le Cellier and Candlelight Processional
Day 8 Saturday 23rd December 2006
Today is a bit laid back. Steve really does not like "cheese" of Disney, and the girls were looking forward to space and the joys of TVs and playstations in their bedrooms (strictly not allowed in our house!) Hence the very short report today! We finally had a reasonable night’s sleep, but slept in and straight out into a very cold jacuzzi, brrrr. I’ve never had my own “jacuzzi” before, it was warm and toasty and bubbly and luscious in minutes, if anything it got too hot too quick! The pool heating was very efficient too. The weather is great this morning but rain forecast later and downhill for Christmas day. We are in the villa for eight nights now, and we spend a lot of time in the mornings reading in the jacuzzi, what a great life. All we bought last night was milk and so breakfast was remaining cereal, Caesar salad and carrot cake from last night…yum!
We get dressed around lunchtime and keep our promise of taking the girls shopping, waste of time as far as we are concerned but we did promise! We found the LBV Factory Stores, Gap was good (nine items including fleeces, jeans, sweatshirt and t shirts for $111) there was a 70% off Disney tent that wasn’t up to much, and I think a Claire’s Accessories and a remainder bookshop worth a browse. Shopping isn’t holiday though. Weather was rather to hot for shopping! We finally managed to get them away and headed for TGI Fridays around 4ish. We had a great meal, ribs, pizza, chicken sandwich, beef sandwich and a chicken/orange stir fry (the latter was mine, a “healthy” offering, but could have done with more veg than just chicken and a few pieces of orange, serves me right, no need to be healthy on holiday.) Bill with a couple of beers, margarita and soft drinks was $75.
We navigate our way down to our end of the 192 and hit Publix for supplies, lots of fruit and salad bits to nibble for the next week. I wish we had a fridge this big back home! The fruit/veg craving is pretty bad on my part by now! Load up the mega clothes washer, and back in the pool with the multi coloured pool lights on. Steve and Sally put up the Christmas tree that was in the villa, it really must be nearly Christmas! I think we ended up watching an episode of “House” on TV.
Tomorrow: Swimming/Golf, Celebration and Joe’s Crab Shack
