~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

Your pictures are great. I can really see the difference.
Glad Alli is feeling better.
Hopefully the storm misses you. We're supposed to get snow tonight and Sunday. Right now we have a little freezing rain.
I hope you get so work done today in your sewing room.
I work today, of course. I spent Monday and Tuesday redoing the video games and movies. I worked til ten those days so I had plenty of time to do them. Hopefully it's busy today.
Have a good day.

OMG, you look AMAZING!!! Congratulations, you are an inspiration for all of us!!!:cheer2::cool1::goodvibes I'm definitely going to try the Whole30 program…let's see how it works for me… ;)

Hey D - I was anxiously awaiting your results of the Whole30 - congrats to such commitment and you look amazing! Cannot wait to see how your journey continues. I tried to start the NROLFW Monday - that was so funny - I just could not get into the flow of the instructions - I am going to try again next week - did you have problems at first "getting" what was needed? The jackknife was especially funny.

I have been following the winter storm - hope all is well with everyone -we are having a crazy warm spell here - we reached 80 yesterday - now you know why we swelter in the summer.

I need to go back and peek at all of your bags D - I saw the one of Minnie and Mickey and just about melted - that was the cutest bag EVER - and I love all of them so that says a lot.

Sending prayers for Allison and getting along on a full recovery.

Congrats again D! Big hugs! Carol

Hope you got everything accomplished in your sewing room. Glad to hear Alli is doing better.
Yes, Josh is right more snow headed our way. Maybe they will have it wrong for our area again and the snow will miss us. Actually, I hope it misses all of the eastern states. I think we all had enough for now. Fingers crossed!!
Have a fabulous day!

So seriously behind here!

I've been trying to keep up with you on FB...but just reading your post today has made me tired!

I will not promise to keep up (especially since Disboards no longer will send me update emails) but I promise to try!

See ya soon!

Jeanne/Nini

Well - Hello there stranger!!! It's great to see you back on The Dis!!! I've missed you! Thank God for FB, because then I know you are still out there causing trouble.

Love you and thank you for stopping in! :wizard:

I too feel sorry for everyone getting the WICKED SNOW STORMS.. Yeah Suzi that was for you...

Just know i am here everyday reading along..

I know - hopefully this next storm misses everyone.

Me too... LOL

I'm just amazed by your progress! Great job.

Good luck in your sewing room today, I hope you get all caught up.

Thank you Ariana!

And thanks... I worked hard - I didn't catch up as much as I wanted to, but I made a good amount of progress. :thumbsup2

I hope you have a great day in your sewing room

Thank you! It was a decent day.

Your pictures are great. I can really see the difference.

Thanks Liz... I am hoping for a lot more progress this spring.

Yes, she is doing much better. Still tired - but she is hanging in there. So far, she has made it through every day of school this week.

Thanks! I did make some progress - so I am happy with that. I didn't finish my order, so I will have to work on Sunday to make up for it. Only a little bit of work though.

I hope you had a good day as well.

OMG, you look AMAZING!!! Congratulations, you are an inspiration for all of us I'm definitely going to try the Whole30 program…let's see how it works for me…

Thank you! Whole30 is awesome! I am not sure how easy it will be for others, but it was relatively easy for me. If you do decide to do it - I highly recommend joining the Facebook group "Whole30 first timers" - it was a huge wealth of knowledge for me, and it was VERY helpful to have so many people doing it at the same time with me too.

Thanks Carol! Oh Yes... The Prone Jack-knife... Yes, my first attempts were rather hilarious... I was very thankful I was doing them in my own home. I am up to doing 3 sets of 15, and I don't roll around quite as much anymore... but they are HARD! As you develop those muscles - you will get stronger and the lifts/prone jack-knife will get less awkward. Just go slow and don't injure yourself.

Mmmm... I would LOVE 80s right now. I am in serious need of spring weather.

Awww... Thanks Carol! And thanks for the prayers for Alli - she is doing much better... As long as she makes it through today - she has made it through her first full week of school. :woohoo:

Hope you got everything accomplished in your sewing room. Glad to hear Alli is doing better.

Thanks Lynee... I got a lot done - but not everything. I'll keep plugging away at it this weekend.

Me to - it's such a relief... She still tires easily, but she is doing much better.

Hopefully you won't get anymore snow.

**********************************************************

As I replied to several of you above... I didn't get everything done that I'd wanted to in my sewing room -but I did make a nice big dent in it. I will have to work a bit on Sunday to finish up. Oh well.

Gus picked both of the girls up from school yesterday - which was nice of him. Still trying to keep V off the bus as much as I can. I don't mind her riding in the morning - all the kids just sleep. It's the afternoons when they are wide awake that things tend to get out of hand - which is what I am trying to avoid.

We all had a nice family dinner here.

Gus went home shortly after.

We all hung out and watched TV.

I went up to bed and Alli was watching TV in our room... So, I fell asleep with her in our bed (so did she - LOL). I woke up this morning with Josh in her place, so at some point, she went to her own bed. :confused3 I must have been very tired.

Today...

I am taking my car over towards BFF's house, I need to get the oil changed before our big trip to my dad's tomorrow.

BFF and I are doing to do some shopping... We are headed up to Trader Joes - as I am almost out of almond butter - and that's a staple in my diet, can't live with out it.

I am picking the girls up from school>

Prayers please for Alli today... She is taking her drivers permit test after school!!! :woohoo: I may have a driver in the house by this afternoon. I hope it goes well for her... We've made her wait an extra year because we are paranoid parents, and she is definitely ready for it.

So, she might be driving home... :wizard:

Not a clue what we are doing tonight. I know Gus is coming over and Josh is going to a game. I am pretty sure I am staying home and relaxing.... I might go up to my sewing room a bit then, just so I don't have to as much on Sunday. :confused3 We'll see...

Oh - I posted a photo of myself on FB the other day... I thought I looked pretty cute... I need a new Disney Chicago sweatshirt... Mine is getting a bit sloppy on me. :(

Ok everyone... Have a wonderful day! Prayers and Pixie Dust go out to all of you! Stay safe this weekend and stay warm! :grouphug:

Is that a hint?

I don't know if they have the same design. Once i get over there i will check it all out. Not going until it's closer to June. Another Zip hoodie?

Good luck to Alli today. Around here, it's not uncommon for parents to wait until their kids are 18 to get their license. My daughter got hers at 17.

Good luck to Alli today.

Yesterday it was afoul weather about 156 miles from us which resulted in that almost all of Northern Norway lost their electricity. North from Tromsø they got the power back after a short while because they could get their power from Finland and an island Northern of Tromsø.

Tromsø city center got the power back after 3 hours. I lost the power at 3.10pm and at 9pm I gave up waiting for the power to come back. So I went to town and had some pizza. When I came back at 10.15pm the power was back on. I was out of power 6 1\2 hours yesterday. It went ok even if I don't have any alternative way to get heat in my flat. It didn't get cold inside.

I've fallen behind but am caught up now!

Yay for Alli getting her permit! I hope it goes well! I waited until I was 17 1/2 to get mine, and only had to wait a 1/2 a year to get my full license after turning 18. It seems like a lot of kids are waiting until they are older to get their licenses, which isn't a bad thing at all! :thumbsup2

Oh, and let me say THANK YOU!!! for continuing on with your TR. Out of all of the TRs that I have been reading, yours is the only one that is continuing on all the way til the end. :confused3 I hate it when I start reading TRs and then the trip reporters decide not to continue them on. It's like watching a great show on TV, and then the producers up an cancel it! LOL And I understand that they are a lot of work, but it still makes me sad when I get hooked on them and then they just up and end! :(

Okay, rant over! LOL :rotfl:

Also, thanks for sharing your journey to health on here and on your blog! It's very inspiring to see your amazing results! :wizard:

Hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend!

Good morning everyone!

Sorry - no time for replies this morning - I tried to, but the Dis was down for some time this early (like usual)...

So, just a quick couple of photos for you...

First - Alli passed her permit test yesterday! :woohoo: She is now legal to drive with a licenced driver over the age of 21. So happy for her - she has waited so long for this!

10247299_10206235732801031_49266545607734391_n.jpg

Then, I came home to some Disney mail waiting for me... I've wanted a Disney World sweatshirt for years that's EMBROIDERED and NOT screen printed... I finally found one!!! :wizard: Wasn't sure which size to get, but glad I got this one - it just fits!

10264916_10206235898845182_4192785657233715682_n.jpg

Have a great weekend everyone! Prayers and Pixie Dust to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I love your sweatshirt. :lovestruc Emroidered is so much better than screen printed.

Congratulations to Alli :cool1:
When is she allowed to drive all on her own?

In Norway you can practice driving with a person over 25 and who has had his/her drivers license for at least 5 years none stop when you're 16 years old. You can start to take drivers lessons at a driver school when you're 17 years old. You can't take the final drivers test before the day you turn 18 years old. But when you then pass your final drivers test (that's when you get your license) you are allowed to drive alone.

Wow~! This is going to take a little bit of getting used to... Disboards looks great, but did I ever tell you all how much I dislike change? LOL Said by the "constantly changing" person... LOL

A friend of mine on FB mentioned that The Dis was up and running - so I had to come check it out for myself. I wonder if they got the Android app working again too?

D~

I sure hope I didn't miss anyone in these repiles... The new way of doing it here is quite annoying. Each time I hit "reply", it takes me to the bottom of the page - then I have to remember where I left off, scroll back up and click on the next one... This will make my life interesting at 5am every day.

Is that a hint?

I don't know if they have the same design. Once i get over there i will check it all out. Not going until it's closer to June. Another Zip hoodie?

Maybe? LOL

It will be fine - whatever you can find... We'll see if they have anything I like when you get there. :D

Tell allie good luck on her drivers test.

Thanks! She did great!

Good luck to Alli today. Around here, it's not uncommon for parents to wait until their kids are 18 to get their license. My daughter got hers at 17.

Thanks Liz! Not here - many kids get theirs early because they qualify for a "farmers permit" which allows a teen who lives on a farm to drive legally at the age of 15. So, in this area - we are doing it pretty late. But - I didn't get my license until I was 17, and I feel like I was a better driver when I was younger because of it.

I've fallen behind but am caught up now!

Hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend!

I am glad we waited too - it was a total accident, but I feel like she will be a more responsible driver.

Hahaha... I am trying... My updates are so scarce these days. I am not sure I will ever do a TR again from multiple cameras - that's been the hardest thing about this one. The others have been so easy to write because I was the one taking most of the pictures... This one, I am having to go all over the place to find the pictures... My phone, my camera, BFF's fb page, the underwater camera (which I haven't put on the computer yet, I finally have those photos), Photopass... It's a bit crazy! Only a few more days left to do.

I am glad that I inspire people... When I started, I never imagined I would come this far. I am glad I finally made the decision to do this "my way" rather than following conventional wisdom - It's made me see that not everything "they" tell you about how to take care of yourself is right. And I would have given up long ago because I would have been starving. I am very happy to be at this place in my life and very happy to know that I am getting closer to my goal size. :)

Thank you - You too!

I love your sweatshirt. :lovestruc Emroidered is so much better than screen printed.

Congratulations to Alli :cool1:

Thank you! I agree - I love the new sweatshirt. I have yet to "officially" wear it.

Well, here is how it goes in the US. Kids have to take drivers education - a class all about driving... Some kids take it at school and some take it on their own time. Once they complete this class, they can go down to the testing center and take the written exam - which is what Alli did the other day. Once they pass the written exam, they can start driving with any licensed driver over the age of 21. During that time, they have to have so many hours of daytime driving and night time driving (I don't remember exactly how many hours, it's in her log book in the car) - then about 4 to 6 months after getting their permit, they have to do a "behind the wheel" class... Which is 6 hours with a certified instructor. Once that is complete and they are over the age of 16, they can take their drivers exam. If they pass, they can drive a car alone. :)

**********************************************************************************************

OK... Not sure I am loving the new Disboards... This is so odd. I have no idea where to look for my emoticons - I need to find those. Thankfully I know a few of them by heart. ::yes:: And I definitiely don't like that there is no "multi-quote" feature... I use that A LOT!

I did nothing exciting yesterday... I didn't leave the house or my pajamas all day. It was nice.

Saturday, I went to my Dad's - I had a nice visit with him, took him to church and I did a bit of shopping to pass the time. I got a couple pair of chino shorts at American Eagle - which were returns, so I got them for a very nice price. I also got a couple of clearance tops at Target. So, I was excited about that.

I had a nice visit with my Dad... I asked him where he wanted to go for lunch - and he was dying for Burger King... Thankfully he gave me notice, so I was able to pick up Chipotle before I picked him up from church, then I took him to BK and he ate there while I ate my Chipotle there. ::yes:: We had a very nice visit - it was great to see him. After lunch - we did a little bit of shopping, and then I had to drop him off at home and run back to get Josh then be home in time for Josh's game. It was a nice day - lots of running and that part was exhausting, but it was great to see my dad.

Now... A few of you sent my dad cards and gift cards for the holidays... I love that man, but he took all of the GCs out of their respiective cards - so I have no idea who to thank for what. So, if you want me to know who sent what - you are welcome to send me a PM.... Otherwise, know that he will be eating out at a few nice places over the next months - thanks to all of you!!! Thank you to all of you - the cards you sent him were just lovely - and it still warms my heart, and his that he is remembered. :lovestruc

Today - it's back to work for me. I need to finish up last week's order this morning.

I also have to work out.

I did not have the best eating on Saturday... Josh took us out for Chinese and that was a huge mistake. As much as I love that food - I did not feel well afterwards. I had a great eating day yesterday though, so I feel much better.

OK - I need to get going. The Dis is driving me nuts... I type much faster than it shows up on my screen, and it's super annoying to me that I have to sit here and wait for my typing to show up. I hope this isn't normal, because I can't watch the screen while I am typing because it thows me off - I have to look at the keyboard, and I don't like that.

I hope you all have an amazing day!!! Prayers and Pixie Dust go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~ <--- Found the emoticons. ::yes::

OK - so trying this... I think I fixed the delay thing with my typing... Whoo-hoo!!

IF that annoys you too... Go up to your name at the top right of the screen, click on it, then click on preferences and uncheck the "rich text editor" & the "flash based up loader" ... Viola! Fixed!

OK - now to fix the multiquote option... That might be much more tricky. Sigh.

D~

Eeeep... Found the multi quote too... See at the bottom of each post it has "+quote"... That's our new multi-quote button.

OK... D~ is happy now.

D~

I am so lost on here It keeps jumping to other pages. I am NOT liking this yet as i have no idea what i am doing.. Like just posting a reply without quoting? Where did my picture go?!
This is going to take me all day to figure out...

:crazy2: That's about how I feel right now with the new boards. I know that change is necessary but so far I don't like it! Oh and this is Ariana by the way, I lost my old Avatar and had to replace it. :rotfl:I'm glad you figured out the multi-quote because I need to go do an update on one of my TRs and now I don't have to search for it.

This new dis will take a while to get use to, lucky im working from home today since my girls don't have school due to weather. Not sure why though..

I am not sure about the new DIS. Will take some getting used to. Glad that Alli got her permit and your visit with your dad sounds like it was a good time. I ate some off whole30 foods yesterday. I had some hummus and pita chips and meatballs that weren't compliant. No side effects, so I am happy about that.
