So considering it's Jim Hill take with a grain a salt. Could this be a very early sign that the JII refurb might be green lit?

I wouldn't read too much into that. Could be for any number of reasons, including simply to stop others from registering those URLs.

Side note: Funny how they have "whoisjohncarter.com" for the John Carter thing and "whereisemmetcole.com" for some TV show -- it's like they have one idea, and plan to use it for everything.
