Anyone that can help, it would be great. I am considering getting a AAA membership for both the benefits of their services and the DW discounts, could someone please let me know how much an average discount percent is taken off of deluxe resorts?? Also can you get a quote on a vaction before you sign up for AAA?

Also for the Florida resident discount can a floridian make a resvervation for a non-floridian and the non-floridian get the floridian rate??

Thanks so much for any help

20% off of values and moderates during value season
15% off of deluxes during value season

15% off values and moderates during regular and peak season
10% off deluxes during regular and peak season.

For FL resident rate you have to show your ID, drivers license for proof of residency. So the non-FL resident would obviously not have that and is not eligible for the discount.

If you call up disney reservations (aka "CRO"), they generally will not ask you for an AAA membership number before quoting you the AAA rate on a room only reservation. Some have reported that they will, in which case, I would say, "I don't have a membership yet, I'm planning to get one if I can get the discount." If they still won't quote you a rate, just hang up and try again. There are thousands of agents, so you won't get the same one again.

You won't be able to get a quote on packages or anything through AAA without a number -- or at least probably not. You could call one up and ask, but I think they usually ask for your number.

If you post your dates here, sometimes people with access to rates over the AAA web site will check for you.

No...you can get a quote. You DO need an AAA number to book though.

You can call Disney or AAA and get a quote?? Also both will quote packages with a AAA discount? Sorry for all the dumb questions and all of your help.

Only a AAA agency can quote packages (with and without dining plan) with a AAA discount. Disney CRO can quote room-only with AAA discount.

I've actually had no problem booking AAA through CRO without having an actual membership at the time. My reservation confirms just say, "AAA Membership Card Required at Check-in for Discount."

See, I am an AAA TA and we do require the membership number to actually book.

That makes all the sense in the world -- you guys shouldn't be doing work for the general public when it's supposed to be a perk of membership.

What they ought to do, though, is give you guys commissions if you can get someone to sign up for membership because of a good deal you've gotten them on travel. I bet AAA has a huge retention rate -- once you get them to sign up I bet they tend to stay members. In my nearly 20 years of membership, the disney discounts have probably paid for the membership, but I rarely have had to use the roadside service (knock wood).
