Welcome All. This will be my first ever pre-trip report (or report of any kind). II hope you all join in the fun of my planning!
First, lets introduce the Cast
Myself, Tim, 26. I am a store accountant for a grocery store. I love theme parks and especially Disney World. I am huge Star Wars fan and love movies of all types. I am the planner of the family and love researching and planning for trips. I live in South Central PA.
My Sister, Rachel, 24. She currently lives in New York City, and is trying to get a job in a museum. She is a huge Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fan. Also a huge disney fan.
We have a lot in common and are very close. One of our favorite things is FOOD! We both love food of all types and have eaten in quite a few celebrity chef restaurants. Understandably that is also one of our favorite things at disney.
This trip's plan began during our last trip, this past January (2012). My sister had just graduated with her Masters degree and my parent's wanted to do something to celebrate as a family. She decided on Disney, which we had not done since 2000. It was our first trip as adults.
We had a blast and I immediately began trying to find a way to go back ASAP. When she moved to NYC, we were unable to spend as much time together and so we began discussing trips to take, and of course Disney was top on the list.
I finally decided on going in September, due to the low crowd levels and the ease of getting vacation from my job that month. I am also hoping to get the free dining promotion that they usually issue for that month. We had free dining on our last trip and it worked great.
As for where we would stay, I gave that a great deal of thought. When we went last we stayed at Caribbean Beach, which was excellent. I debated doing Pop, as we had never stayed there, but liked the Moderate comforts.
I finally settled on POFQ, and booked the other day for Sept. 8-17!!! I have never stayed there before but have heard excellent reviews. Any comments or recomendations you have would be most welcome.
Well, this post is long enough, I will have more soon, as I m an intensive plnner and like the idea of having a place to get feedback on my plans.
