A Brooklyn Nets, Disney World, and Disney Cruise Adventure 2014

We were originally trying to plan on going on a Med cruise this summer, but then one day my mom and nannie, both who don't like to travel and don't travel with us said they wanted to go to Japan. Now my Nannie is Japanese, my mom is 50% Japanese, and I'm 25% Japanese, Dad isn't any Japanese. I've always wanted to go so we jumped on that when they said it. We were both kind of bummed that we wouldn't be cruising the Magic again, we had been on a 4 night in November and wanted to get back on. So we looked into cruises. We knew that The Brooklyn Nets(NBA team) would be down playing Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, so we looked into cruises around that time and April 11th cruise worked out, so we booked.

Now I'm a Major Brooklyn Nets fan, so I was pumped. I get to see them on vacation, go to Disney World and a Cruise, my favorite things in life.

Woke up around 4:45am. We were leaving around 6:00am and I need time to get ready. So got up and dressed and dad did as well. We left the house and drove to Newark airport. My mom called us on way to airport and said bye. We parked the car and got a shuttle bus to terminal building and then grabbed some breakfast. After that headed to the gate, can't remember what time we boarded and took off and what not, but we finally got to fort lauderdale. Went and got the rental car and drove to Miami. We checked in at the B2 and went to the room.






We were wanting some food since it was after 2:00pm by this time. So we headed out for some food. On the way out took a picture of our room number.




We headed over to Bayside Market and looked for some food, we ended up getting food at the food court area. After that went and got margarita's which were good. After that it looked like rain so we headed back to the hotel to chill. I decided to take a shower and while I was doing that dad went out to look around. View from room



Dad came back and we went to cvs across from the hotel. After that we relaxed in the room a while longer. We got ready for the game and I took some pictures.






We headed over to the arena and of course took some pictures.






The game was great.

This was the second time at this arena, first time was in November for Heat vs Hawks, this time it was Nets vs Heat and I am a Nets fan for life, so it was different and there weren't any Nets fans of course. Nets aren't a popular team, in NJ they barely had any fans, I was a fan though and stuck with them for the move to Brooklyn, which has been great so far. Now the Heat have won the finals the past two years, so it's always great when the Nets beat them, this year so far they had beat them 3 times, this was the last game, unless the meet in the playoffs. I went in expecting the Nets to lose. I mean I thought Miami would be pissed after that last game where they lost, so I was just hoping a close good game would come out of it. Food at the arena was good, arena food so cost a lot, but you expect that. I got chicken fingers for dinner. Can't remember the drink I got, but it was from the bacardi stand and it was yummy alcohol drink. Our seats were high, but actually decent as well. In the end I was comparing the arena to Barclay's Center in Brooklyn where Nets play and I still like Barlcay's Center more, but Miami Heat arena is great for a older arena.

Also for the out come of the game the Nets won, in a nail biter, everyone else was standing I was sitting and I was shaking, I really was nervous. Here is the play.

from watching it on tv, I felt it was a play that could go either way. I'm glad it went the Nets way.

So we left the arena, without any trouble from Heat fans, yes there were a few other Nets fans, but we weren't sure how um.....heat fans would be after sweeping the Heat, but we made out just fine. Made it back to the B2 hotel and of course turned on tv to see any highlights from the game. After that I think we both went to sleep. But that night was pretty good, and by the end of that night my knees were hurting, I had the flu(I'm usually never sick) the week before so I was still kind of down and stuff, but I was getting better.

Next up: Long Drive To Orlando

Woke up at the B2 in Miami, feeling relaxed and happy that the Nets won. We checked the weather outside.



Dad went to get us some coffee and I got ready and dressed for the day. We watched some tv and drank coffee and then headed down to get some breakfast, it was a breakfast buffet and it was alright, nothing special. After that went back up to the room and got ready to leave. We got all packed up and got the car and headed over to south beach area and since Wonder was in port we viewed the Disney Wonder a bit.







We drove down ocean drive and then were on our way to Orlando. The drive was long. We got to Orlando around 1:00pm. We went and bought our Disney Park tickets. After that we headed to Downtown Disney for lunch.



We grabbed food at Earl Of Sandwich and then we did a little shopping. After that we headed to the car and went to the Swan and checked in. Got our room and headed up to check it out.





Dad went and walked around and took some pictures.

While dad was doing that I was acting like my goofy and hyper pumped up Nets fan self.




Dad came back and we both relaxed a while longer then we headed out and to the game. Tonight it was Nets vs Orlando. Arena was good and food and drinks were really good tonight. There were a lot more Nets fans here tonight, we were actually surprised.




















Nets lost, but we had great seats. We headed back to the hotel. Dad got us some drinks and we crashed and passed out for the night.

What a great way to start your trip....with two Net games....my Hubby is a Brooklyn attorney and is friends with Mr. Whammy. My son and him went to game last year with him......go Nets!

Can't remember what time we woke up, I think around 6:00-7:00am or something along those lines. I had the best sleep. You see I had been sick with the flu(normally I'm healthy as ever) and hadn't had many great nights of sleeping.

Well we got up and dressed and ready for the day, we headed over to the dolphin to get some breakfast.



Breakfast was good and filling. After that we headed back to the room, stopping to take a picture along the way.



Got ready for the parks and relaxed a little while, it looked like it was going to be a great day out.



A little before 8:30am we decided to start walking over to Hollywood Studios. We had been planning on Magic Kingdom, but the were doing something for It's a small world 50th, so we didn't know if it would be extra crowded. So we walked over to the park.





We got to the park and headed in and went to Toy Story Mania and rode that first. It was a long wait, but it goes pretty fast.






After that we went and rode The Great Movie Ride. After that we walked around a while and took pictures.











We decided it was time to leave the park and head over to Epcot. So we walked back.







We stopped back at the hotel.



Dad changed his hat and we got a drink of water and then we headed over to Epcot,

We got into the park and got some maps. We then starting walking around taking pictures, got some cards that we could wear on our wrists and buy food and drinks with, and looked for some food and drinks.















Dad and I split up since he had a Fast Pass time coming up. We aren't ride people much so I wasn't going. While he did that I walked around taking pictures and looked for some lunch.

Dad had gone on his ride and taken a few pictures of his own.









We met up we decided to go ride Spaceship Earth, we could cool down a bit and relax(a.k.a. sleep in the dark). So we did that. After that we went to look at the festival center.












After that we walked around some more and took more pictures.

We did some shopping and decided to head back to the hotel for a while to rest.
