from a complete technophobe, my friend who is also a technophobe (and actually worse than me) is a long distance lorry driver, he really wants to get a laptop to use in the cab when resting, would a wireless enabled one work? he mainly drives between big cities in the Uk and i know a lot of them claim to be wireless enabled, but i really don't know where to start looking for answers :confused3

He would need to be in range of a suitable WIFI hotspot - these could be free or he may have to pay via credit card to get on line.

Not sure what sort of access he would get from typical truck stops though.
