Can anyone recommend a good biography about Walt himself, and his visions for the parks? It seems there are so many out there and I wanted a good read for the plane ride.....;)

Walt Disney: An American Original is a good one. It is a balanced and informative biography that really gives you a good sense of who Walt Disney was. I particularly enjoyed the section during the 1930's and 40's' when much of the "golden age" animation was created.

I'm reading Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler. I'm really enjoying this book. I'm learning a lot about Walt's life and I'm amazed what he and Roy went thru to become the successful.

The History Channel did a 2 hour special on Walt, DL, and WDW. It was very good. I loved it. The special was on Modern Marvels. You can order it through them or amazon or something.

I second this recommendation. It's by Bob Thomas and is a very good read.

I third this recommendation! It is the best.
I have the Gabler one, but haven't read it..
And don't forget to see the Disney Story at the Lincoln theater on Main Street. I love that show.
