I would like to personally thank everyone we met and saw during our trip to Walt Disney World. Each of you made Trina and I feel very welcome and we both appreciate all of your friendship. We had a wonderful time visiting old friends and making new ones. We had a blast at the Great Pin Adventure and would like to thank Matthew and Lauri Davis for their hard work in making this activity enjoyable for everyone. As always, the mini-meets were fun as we all got a little crazy. We will never forget hearing Gary screaming out about Crocs on the Safari, or seeing LindaD running around collecting autographs, or hearing Ashley and her mom talking like pirates, and especially seeing Shawn bugging all the Cast Members as he tried to find out Where in the World Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen had been. It was truly a magical experience made even more special because of the friendship we felt. Thanks for making this vacation a memory we will cherish for a long time.

Jeff

Thank you Jeff, Trina, Matt, Lauri and Kathi for making this the best part of wacky weekend!! GPAII was GREAT! The Passports made for some great fun and interaction between us and CMs and trading over at The Land was the most enjoyable of all the meets I went to. I look forward to next year. Just have to see if I can get there a little earlier so I can enjoy more mini meets.

I second what Dom said! A big thank you to you guys! The GPA II was the highlight of the weekend. It made the rest of the weekend tolerable. As usual you all went out of your way to make it the tremendous success it was. The Saturday night pin meet was a blast! It was great having so many old (and new) pin trading friends in one place. And just like last year, I was able to get my holy grail (and like last year....thanks James and Linda :teeth: )!!! Oh, hey, Ed......... stick to the boa, much more refined and elegant than a speedo!

We had a great time Jeff and Lauri.... You gotta love a meet that has FREE CANDY!!!!! It was cool to see the faces of the posters I have interacted with over the last few years... Hi Ruthie!!!

Even though I got to Orlando on Fri, and missed Thurs GPA II, I had a LOT of fun at the meet Sat night!!
Thanks sooo much, Jeff, Trina, Lauri, Matthew...it was GREAT!!!

I agree with everything that's been posted. It was a great event and the activities you all planned for us were better than anything Disney could come up with.

Can't wait for next year!

Cynthia

I agree with all of the above posts. I wish I'd had more time to do my trades - it took me two days to find Lauri and Jeff!

The free candy was an interesting touch - I just didn't enjoy it when they were flying by my head Saturday night!:teeth:

Lisa :smooth:

I'd like to chime in as well...Saturday night was a blast!! I made lots of trades and it was so much fun to see everyone! Only downer was not being able to do the Conga dance..it was just too crowded:(

And yes, the candy sure was flying...poor RobIn got beaned on the head...YOUCH!!!

I have to say thanks to Jeff, Trina, Matthew, and Lauri as well. As a family who enjoyed both the on-line and the on-site GPA adventures we can say both were great fun. I hope it continues for next year. (Next time hopefully Shawn and I will both be at WDW!)

Bonnie

My thanks to Jeff and Trina (although I agree the chocolate bonk in the head was un-neccesary Trina - we have to get you more into the trading so you will not be so bored), I not only gave my good buddy Jeff the "BIRD" again this year, but I got to actually do a serious trade with him, which took so long that I missed out on getting my HG. Jeff lets work on the "attention span" problem, so the trading goes alittle quicker........lol (you know I am only kidding) !!!!!! And I don't appreciate the ~COOTIES ~ Matt, I brought them all the way to California with me and I can't get rid of them, I heard something about them not leaving until they get to go to DL...........so I guess I am stuck with them until Sunday.
Lauri..........what can I say but I think you are totally underpaid for watching Jeff and you need a better wage negotiator, Trina is getting the better end of the deal. Again, I had a great time and looking forward to GPAIII and also waiting to hear when the left coast get a GPA.

I too also agree. Thanks to all that made GPA 2 posible. Sat was great. Ed the speedo was tooooo funny. Also I loved the passport idea.

Well, we're back home from WDW and I'm back home from my surgery too! ( and NO, the 2 events weren't related LOL)

Once again guys you went above and beyond! It was a blast and we had a ton of fun!
I loved working on the trivia questions and hope they were fun to answer.... AND I collected a bunch of good questions for next year HEHEHEHEHEHE ;)

Kathi

A BIG THANK YOU RIGHT BACK!!!

Jeff, Trina, Matt & Lauri#5, you all did a wonderful job putting this together. I had a lot of fun participating this year, only wish I had made it to a couple more of the meets. Looking forward to what you come up with next year. Once again Thank You!!

Super big "thank-yous" to Jeff and Trina, and Matt and Lauri for all their hard work and enthusiasm--If I didn't have time to fit in everything I wanted to do during the event, just imagine how it was for these 4, making sure everything got done and went off without a hitch!

I must admit I was a little overwhelmed since this was my first event, so I didn't make it to any of the mini-meets except the American Adventure, but had a blast just knowing I was part of the GPAII. Had a great time Saturday night meeting more people, and trading--yes, I traded--AND I traded with James!!

So, if I decide not to give up pins........I think I'll be there next year for III....?????? What do you think guys--is there a III in our future?

P.S. The candy bar came in real handy on the flight home!:smooth:

I wanted to say thanks from a very small fish. I was overwhelmed with the amount of pins people brought to trade. I was on the outskirts just watching and having so much fun. I was able to do 56 trades and that was good enough for me! A heartfelt thank you goes to Ashley and Mom for letting me hang out with you on Saturday. RnR was way fun! And I love the new term "lanyard surfing". Jeff, Trina, Matt, and Lauri, the passport idea was great. It was so neat to interact with the CMs like that. Most of them felt like celebrities because people were asking for their autographs. By the end of the day Saturday most had participated in the signing. I didn't realize that we could have gotten more points had we told them to write down what their job title was. It would have been fun to see all the different descriptions. Make a note of doing that for next year. A special thank you to Jeff and Trina for giving me the lanyard. That really meant alot to me. I wear it at work every day now. I wish I hadn't been so shy at the meet Saturday evening. I saw Lisa, Ruthie, Figgy, Sharon, Peggie, Dom, Ed, and so many others but was too shy to go up to anyone. At least I know what you guys look like and maybe next year at GPAIII, I will have the courage to say something to you!

Thanks for the memories and pictures!

Tay,
You just reminded me of one of the coolest things about being at GPA II. During the night, a few people came up and just held up their little card that had their screen name and real name on it. It was such a fun way of introducing yourself!! That's exactly what Tay did; she came over, and held up her card for me to see it.

I wish I had gone around more myself!!

Great to meet you Tay!

Just got back from Sunny FL today. and I am back at work right now. Yuck, working is the pits.

I have to add another thank you to the great GPA2 planners. I had such a great time trading, and trying to do the scavanger hunt. I did wind up doing most of it after you all left the parks, there was just not enough time for everything in three days.
The passports were a spectacular idea, Disney might just steal your idea because it made trading even more fun.
And Jeff, I have to thank you for my GPA2 Continuing the Traditions LE of 25 that you gave me on Thursday night. It will have a special place next to the lanyard you made for this event. I still have it on the card and in the bag. That was such a nice surprise. I showed it off to quite a few people.
Thanks again for everything Jeff, Trina, Lauri, and Matt. We all had a great time. Peggie

Thanks to everyone! I had a blast with the passports! Talking to the CMs was a lot of fun. Jeff, Laureen, Matt, etc that came up with the GPA event, it was too cool! Thanks to Shawn for riding Space Mountain with me. :) Thanks to Tay for Saturday! My mom and I had fun doing MGM. Thanks to everyone I traded with! I wanted to do more trading Saturday night, but didn't have the nerve to go put my notebook next to very many folk. :) Seeing Ed in his speedo just topped the evening off. :) I don't think I'll get another chance to do a pin event again soon, but I'm definitely glad I made it to this one. Lotsa hugs to everyone! :)
