I just wanted to say thank you to all of you creative DISigners who wither made me custom designs or gave me the inspiration to modify existing ones.
Tonight I am making sweatshirts! I hope to upload photos later! Thank you KellyBell, TaekwondoMom, Donatalie, Tom "I'm too excited to sleep!", and everyone else who's photo bucket I went through! I tried making an image of my own...It isn't easy!

Thanks again,

They look great! My mom and I made some of ours yesterday for our upcoming cruise, and had a blast! It is almost addictive lol.

I am not creative whatsover. So you'll have to excuse this question. Once you have a design, how do you get it onto a t-shirt or sweatshirt?

No problem! You buy Iron on transfer paper from a craft store. Make sure you get Dark transfers if you are going to use anything other than white. Some people like them better for white shirts too. Then follow the direstions for printing (some paper makes you reverse the image to a mirror image.) I use a very basic art program that came with my computer to resize and crop etc. Then just print on an ink jet printer iron on and viola!

Have fun. It is really addicting...already planning for my birthday anniversary and 1/2 marathon this year and another WDW trip next year :) .

I must admit...I might be asking for more soon :goodvibes

I wish I knew how you do it!

Thanks again!

I like that you put some on "golf" type shirts. Is there any specific type of shirt you used?

I went to jiffyshirts.com hanes has 50/50 cotton ones in the size I needed. They are around $5. They also have women's cut shirts which I like! Don't get "pique" it is a bumpy fabric.

Have fun!

Do you mind me asking what make and model printer you use at home? I only have a black & white printer at home and I need to get a color printer. But I don't want to spend a lot of money.

I have an HP photosmart that I got at Costco. I think any inkjet will do for iron-ons. I like my hp since each color is it's own cartridge. You don't have to change the yellow if you only need cyan. Hope this helps!
