A baby, a house, and going to see the mouse! 12/10

great ADR ideas; however, I am too distracted by how adorable Jonah is! Glad to hear he's moved on to cooing smiling baby :) That picture with the Mickey ear is great. I'll have to remember that for when we have babies.

I'm still here! That's great that you found a condo!

I love Kona and California Grill. I haven't tried any of the other ADRs you have, but I'm sure they'll be nice.

Hello! I'm joining in. Jonah is absolutely adorable :goodvibes and I can't wait to see what you do with your Disney decorating!
Love your ADRs, some of my own favourites! Kona, Hoop Dee Doo, and 50's are all high on my LOVE list! :thumbsup2

Hi Ashley! It's great to see you!!! Congrats on your new house! What a relief. :wizard: I can't wait to see some pictures of a few of your Disney rooms when you are finished.

Is that Jonah??? He is getting sooo big - I cannot believe it! I sure hope he grows out of some of his digestive problems before too long.

Love all your food plans too... We love LTT - it is a must do for us, if only for their Freedom Pasta and atmosphere... When we eat at LTT - is so nice, it feels like a break from the parks. :thumbsup2

We loved the Garden Grill too - when the girls were younger, this last trip was less than stellar, but I think that's because they are older and maybe the characters felt awkward with them?

I have yet to try Kona - but I hope to one day - I have heard so many rave reviews on it! It's too bad that we will be too full on the days we go to the Poly. :(

Thanks for the update - it was great hearing how you are doing! :wizard:

D~
It is a relief. I thought looking for a house would be fun and kind of like what you see on HGTV, but not so much.

He is getting big. We've been taking a pic of him once a month on the 15th to kind of track his growth. He's still small for his age, but he's catching up. :goodvibes

I'm happy to hear LTT provides a nice break from the parks. The freedom pasta does sound good.

I know what you mean about the character meals. I never knew that characters actually interacted with people until reading trip reports on the DIS. When Drew and I went to a character meal they just stopped to take a pic and moved on to the next table.

We had a great meal last time at Kona. It was tough though choosing between Kona and Ohana.

Love the Jonah picture he is adorable. I hope you figure out the digestive problems. I thought we had figured out ours but it seems we are back to square one.

Congrats on the house.

Love your dining plans I have never been to LTT. We do try to add in new places to eat every other trip but all the restaurants become new favorites making it harder to narrow down our choices.

Thanks Chiara! I am hoping he does improve, he's suppose to be drinking 30 oz and is only letting me feed him about 26 oz. I hope your little one is doing well.

I know what you mean about trying new restaurants. I'm sure you and your family have many favorites due to all of your fabulous trips. :)

:welcome: Thank you! I think you should. It's fun to watch him grow into them.

Hi Mel! I think they'll be nice too. :goodvibes I love Kona as well and am excited to finally try California Grill.

Hi Ashley, love the photo of Jonah - such a cutie! Hugs about the reflux. I've been there with my little girl, she had colic and I didn't realize that not all babies went through that. I wondered at the time why anyone would reproduce, it was soooo hard. Thank goodness her brother was a surprise, otherwise she would still be an only child. She had to sleep either on our chest or in a car seat in her crib until she was six months before things started to get better but after that point she was the most wonderful, sweet, darling little baby. Well, she always was but after that, no more waking ever hour and no more screaming. It will get better soon, promise!

Sami has reflux and we have her on enfamil AR or Similac Spit Up both of these formulas are heavier and easier for babies to eat. If this hadn't worked we would of went the medication route.

Sam only gained 8oz in 2 weeks so she was still below her birth weight. Also I only feed her what she can handle some feedings it is 4 oz others it is 6oz. My new per agrees with my feeding strategy.

I know if you are BF you can try taking things out of your diet. I hope you get it figured out. I would say as long as he is gaining I wouldn't be super concerned.

Good luck

Hi Wendy! Thanks for joining in. I'm glad to hear Hoop Dee Doo is up there with Kona and 50's.

Thanks for the encouragement Alysa! I had a good laugh about how your daughter would have been an only child. Apparently when I was a baby I had terrible colic and that's why I'm an only child. It's a relief to know things will get better. I'm hoping once things go a bit more smoothly that "baby amnesia" I hear about will kick in.

Thanks Chiara. :goodvibes We are supplementing with Similac so I will look into the Spit Up one.

SO sweet....every bit of this thread makes me happy for you and your upcoming trip.

Your little one is adorable and I love the Mickey Ears photo. I also love the Lion King theme you used on the room.

I have to say I can not wait to see your photos at character dining because I know they will just be so sweet and fun. Mickey in overall with your little one??? yes that will be awesome.

Glad to be joining in. I just started my first pre trip report as well.

Congratulations on all of the wonderful things happening in your life right now! Your son is adorable and I love the nursery. Baby's first trip is such a magical one, I can't wait to see how your trip goes!

Joining in. Congratulations on your son and condo. We just had DD2 on May 1st. Can't wait to read along as you plan and to see how your son's first trip to WDW goes.

Subbing and looking forward to hearing more about your plans!

Jonah is darling. My reflux baby is now 8 months old and finally growing out of spitting everything up. He was on medication since month 2 (after gaining no weight between month 1 and 2), but doesn't need it anymore. Enjoy every moment with him... they grow up way too fast!

Baby update:
I am happy to report that Jonah is doing much better! We started him on a dose of Zantac and it seems to be helping him.

I thought I would share some of the growth chart photos we’ve been taking:

Trip Planning:
Monday was our 180 day mark! I was depending on Jonah being my little alarm clock Monday morning to wake me up to make our ADRs, of course that almost guaranteed for the first time he slept until 7:00 instead of 5:00. I am not complaining, I enjoyed the extra sleep. It all worked out though. I was even able to secure a reservation for Be Our Guest for Wednesday evening of our trip! Woohoo! I am going to wait until closer to our trip to post our official ADRs since I will most likely change them a few times before we arrive.

I also booked our resort Monday morning. Drew kindly reminded me I chose the resort last time (Babymoon at CSR) and it was his turn.I am always excited when he gets involved in the trip planning. I was pleasantly surprised when he chose.....

POFQ!

I think this is a great choice considering the resort is smaller than the other moderates. This will be my second stay at POFQ and Drew’s first. The WL and AKL were really calling our name, but so were new countertops for the kitchen. :rotfl:

We will arrive January 25th and leave February 1st. That’s seven nights of Disney Bliss!

We are closing on the condo today and only have a few boxes packed, so I will probably be MIA for the rest of the week. I plan to catch up on everyone’s TRs and PTRs once we are a bit settled.

Sorry for the delay everyone!

Joining to say I just love your Lion King nursey! so much!!!
Thanks Rachel!

Thank you so much. It's kind of surreal that all of this is happening at once. Congratulations to you and your husband on your pregnancy! I will definitely be following along. :goodvibes

Hi Cheryl! Thank you for reading along! I am happy to hear your little one is doing better. It's difficult to see them in so much pain. Having a little one does seem to make time fly by.

I am optimistic he will grow out of it soon as his digestive system develops.

So sorry about that bump in the road. I'm sure given some time it will pass. Sure makes for a stressful time in the interim. Since I BF all my babies I know there were certain things that bothered them more than others but they didn't have the reflux so I will have to sit out giving advice here. :)

Garden Grill - This should be an easy way to enjoy a character meal with Jonah. I think Mickey looks too cute in his overalls, and Jonah might have to wear his overalls to this meal for some cute photo ops. Side note: how cute are baby overalls?

How adorable! I remember when my boys were little over 25 years ago that they had Osh Kosh overalls. It brings back great memories to see that photo of Jonah!

50s Prime Time Cafe - I am going to cross my fingers Cousin Cooper is working during our meal. He was hilarious and had me dying of laughter during our last trip. He likened Drew to Betty Ford and a Hoover vacuum due to how quickly Drew eats and drinks.

Oh my gosh!! We LOVE Cooper!!! We ask for him every time.

Awww Jonah is growing so quickly!!1 And so adorable!!!

Love your resort choice this time around - I am not sure we could ever stay anywhere else?

And congrats on BoG... I am a bit nervous about eating here myself - I am not sure that any of the food choices appeal to us, but everyone says you must eat here once for the atmosphere... So, we will try it... :)

I'm so happy to hear that Jonah is doing much better! Love the growth chart pictures, he's so adorable!
Too funny that he slept in on the one day you wanted to wake up early, but glad you got your BOG ressie! Can't wait to hear the rest! :thumbsup2
Nice resort choice too!

Oh yes, I definitely learned the hard way not to eat broccoli while breastfeeding. :scared1:

One of the first things I bought when I discovered I was having a boy was a pair of Osh Kosh overalls. :lovestruc

Thanks D~! I am so excited to stay there again. I love that it's a short walk to all of the amenities.

I feel the same way about BoG. I wasn't too impressed with the menu, but wanted to experience the atmosphere.

Nice resort choice too!
Thanks Wendy! I am already looking forward to the 4 month mark now that I finally know how to use the camera on manual mode. I spent a whole afternoon playing around with the shutter, aperture, and ISO. I love that I don't have to worry about blinding him with the flash any longer. :woohoo:

I love growth chart pictures!

POFQ looks adorable. If we ever stay at a moderate again, it's my first choice.

Congrats on getting your resort and ADRs booked! POFQ is a beautiful resort and it is quite small, which is nice. And it is awesome that you managed to get BOG, it is so gorgeous in there.

Also, thank you for the congrats :goodvibes
