Hey everyone! Welcome to our pre-trip report for our January 2014 trip to WDW. 2013 is going to be a year off from Disney, but we have so much going on I have a feeling well be in WDW before we know it. On top of expecting a baby and planning our first family vacation, DH and I will be buying our first house this year!
About us:
This is Jonah:
Jonah will be our first child. Hes coming TOMORROW. Thats right, I have 7 hours to kill before checking into labor and delivery, so I am going to kill time by hanging out on the Disboards. I am on bed rest so I cant do much to pass the time, and DH is running around like a crazy fellow trying to get everything ready.
I was seeing a specialist and they have allowed us to have a few peaks of our little one with the 3D/4D ultrasound equipment. I think he has my nose and DHs cheeks. Let me tell you, I have had the worst heartburn since the second trimester. The old wives tale is that heartburn means a hairy baby, and this kid already has a bunch. We could see his hair floating around in there during our last ultrasound!
I hope Jonah likes The Lion King for DH and I went a little crazy with all of the Lion King Baby gear available. Were also moving a few months after his arrival so were not going too crazy with the nursery decorating until were in our new house. But this is what we have done so far:
DH single handedly put together the nursery, and it was a last minute surprise. I havent been able to nest so hes been doing it for me, bless him.
I will also have to post all of the Disney outfits we have for him. Were absolute suckers for anything Disney Baby at this point. DH jokes that our little guy has so many Disney outfits hes going to think hes Mickey Mouse.

DH is a little old man stuck in the body of a 27 year old. We will have been married for about two years by the time our little guy arrives. He was introduced to WDW during our honeymoon in 2011, and has loved it since. Anytime I bring up the idea of a trip, hes in! He cant wait to see Jonah experience WDW for the first time. DH also cant wait to get back to the Germany Pavilion in Epcot to have a Pretzel und bier.

Im 29. I am a bit older than DH, but like I said, hes an old soul. My first trip to WDW was in 92, and much later in 2010 my mom asked me if I would consider going with her again. I am so glad I did! I absolutely fell in love with WDW all over again! I am so excited to start making Disney memories with Jonah. This will be our first trip to experience the New Fantasyland, which I cant wait to see.
Trip Plans:
As of today our plan is to spend 7 nights in a king room at POR towards the end of January. This is the only moderate we havent experienced so we wanted to give it a try. DH is insistent on having the dining plan. He loves to have everything taken care of before we arrive. I have a budget I must stick to for our trip considering most of our money is going towards our down payment and putting finishing touches on our new house. Oh and having a baby has been a bit expensive. I am crossing my fingers for a decent code! Maybe Disney will notice we took a year off and try to entice us to come back with a discount.

That was definitely wishful thinking! He definitely is keeping me busy with feedings, doctor appointments, and trying to recover from my c-section. I just kind of take naps all day when I can. I love every minute, but it is challenging!
