A Aviation Milestone 18 years ago today the 1st Boeing 777 takes flight

18 years ago today the first Boeing 777 made her maiden flight from Payne Field in Everett Washington.today there are 1000 Boeing 777's Delivered, A year after the 777's first Flight, United Airlines the Launch Customer of the 777 had it's firs Passenger flight on the Company's first Boeing 777. Definitely my favorite plane to fly on. Love the smooth ride. I also love the fact that in 18 years, no passenger has died while flying on the plane. That is more than luck.

The Boeing 777 is a great Jetliner with a excelent safety record. Despite a British Airways 777 crash landing in London. Thank goodness no one was killed on board

I have been aboard during turbulence and was impressed how smooth the ride was. Talked to pilots that fly the aircraft and never heard a bad thing said.

Boeing makes terrific products!

just yesterday I saw a cute bumper sticker when i was driving in tel aviv (actually when i was riding in a taxi, since i still can't drive):
