They rotated out the Duffy characters, I think throughout the day. I know the day before when I stopped by it was Shellie Mae meeting in the same spot! I was hoping to see Cookie, but never happened to walk by her!

And yeah, fun fire and smoke!

Yeah completely! Tokyo had a different effect on the ride, but it wasn't as big or cool as this one! (Also wasn't in English...)

Part 4 – Visiting the lucky bears again!


I headed further into the park, deciding to check on my favorites again!

I took a ride on the Big Grizzly Zoom Zoom! Making my way slowly through the queue so I could take photos! Unfortunately the glare wasn’t helpful so I couldn’t take good photos of the “fake” photos to see if there was anyone I recognized! I’m sure Rhode was in there somewhere!

The CM working saw me taking this selfie so he grabbed my camera to take some actual photos of me! (he actually was working the ride the whole day since he recognized me when I rode it again at the end of the day!)

Something I also noticed was on the rides throughout the park – they had little handles in handy CM locations for them to check you were secure. I figure they get so many international visitors it’s hard to communicate to “pull on the yellow strap”, so they just do it for you, but it would be too hard to bend down into people’s laps, so they extend up to the side.​

I think I would love that ride. Everest is my favourite!

It was an awesome ride! The right amount of story, and thrills, but still smooth and not scary.

I love the added "adventure" on the Jungle Cruise.

I knew there was some big finale, but I didn't know everything, so I really liked it!

Hagrid's is definitely on a different level than Big Grizzly, but yeah I could see the comparison!

And yeah, I really appreciated him just taking my photo without me even asking! Also the lower park hours meant that I don't think the CMs really had different shifts, because I saw him still working that ride at the end of the day before the park closed and he recognized me too!

Part 5 – And another (couple) visits to Albert

I then decided to head on Mystic Manor.

I believe I did 2 rides on this one too, but I’ll just consolidate the photos into one list!

Queue shots! You basically enter through the loading dock and get to see some exhibits on the museum’s history and artifacts!

Look at all cutie Albert’s adventures!

You can see it’s a longer physical queue, though I always just walked straight thru it. There even is an extended queue in the outside garden, but that is rarely used!

Some of the members of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers! Some of these guys make appearances at Tokyo DisneySea as well as Typhoon Lagoon! (Can you name which rides are part of the SEA?)

And onto the ride! I must have been set for the first car of the next group. And actually I don’t think anyone else rode one of the times, so I got to get a totally solo ride!

Acquisitions and Cataloguing: Seriously, Albert, don’t mess with it!

Musical Instruments: Well it does make pretty music! You can see some of the projection magic turning all of them on!

Mediterranean Antiquities: Interesting artwork… oh, wait, is that Pompei?!

Photos are hard with this one, but you can see the man fighting the lion actually hops on top of the vase!

Chinese Salon: The finale – Wowzers! (this is one where your perspective really changes based on what order you enter the room as you could come in before it all starts or in the middle of the whirlwind)! But awesome!

Time for a tour of the gift shop! Of course I got one of the mini Alberts!

This was one purchase I really really wish I had gotten! A Mystic Manor music box! I still really want it!

nstead, I sort of wandered up main street and was the first person. So, who should come out to greet me, but Gelatoni! He was so excited to have people coming to visit so he ended up grabbing my hand and escorting me up to his character meet! It was super cute too, I think I warned him not to eat too much candy because it could make him sick! And he showed off his ghost impression!

This is just the cutest thing ever!!!

I'm loving the attraction pics--all of them look so incredible, but I Mystic Manor is the one I just LOVE. That little Albert

Haha, yeah so Harrison Hightower at Tower of Terror. Henry Mystic at Mystic Manor (obvs). Mary Oceaneer from the cruise ships, but also Miss Adventure Falls at Typhoon Lagoon! Barnabas T. Bullion is part of the backstory for the early 2010s refurb to Big Thunder Mountain in MK. Dr Albert Falls is with Jungle Cruise and Skipper Canteen. Jock Lindsay from the Hangar Bar is officially a member. And the newest member is Camellia Falco from Soaring Fantastic Flight at TDS!

I looked up some of this history and in 2015 they did a "Haunted" overlay for Jungle Cruise (at HKDL of course) where an ex-member stole some jewels, causing the ride to be cursed and lots of fog effects! Also zombie skeletons in the hippo pool! That would be SO SO COOL! I wish they could do that at Disneyland and MK!
