A 2 for 1 trip report of sorts...Disney mania at its best!

Well now that I have your attention, I guess I should explain that title! But first a little background info...

Picture it..June 2010 right here on the Dis a new friendship is made. I entered the Who's going July 2010 thread and posted our info. In the process Martinolichfamily did the same. What we didn't know is that we lived about 30 mins from each other! So a mini Dis meet was had at our local Disney store of course! We became fast friends, the kids hit it off great and we decided we would be spending some time together while at the world since we were going the exact same dates! The hubby's met at Disney and hit it off too! Since that time our families have grown as has our friendship. So of course we have to do another trip together! So that started off the planning of July 2013 at 499 days!

Here is our group in July 2010! (We have added the youngest two since then. I was actually pregnant with Avery during our 2010 trip. Heather and her family are on the left.)

So there you have the background info…but I did say a 2 for 1 right??? Well not only will Heather be contributing to this report, but there is a second surprise trip involved! Heather and I are taking all 6 kids back to Disney in November without the dads! Yep 2 moms and six kids. I do believe we have lost our minds! Disney insanity at its best! So since we are in the process of planning 2 trips…2 for 1 trip report.

37 days to go!! WooHoo...School is almost out and the natives are getting restless I tell ya...(and by the natives I mean Heather and I!)

So our plans as of right now are as follows:
July 4th Leave for Disney! We will drive most of the way and then spend the night in a hotel.
July 5th Continue on to Disney and check into our resorts.
July 6th Epcot! Le Cellier for lunch (my birthday celebration as July 3rd is my bday!)
July 7th The Dads get to play golf this morning. Heather and I will head to MK.
July 8th AK Donalds Breakfast (Dad 1's birthday)
July 9th Epcot PSB dinner
July 10th HS no dining planned this dday
July 11th MK CP breakfast and GIRLS NIGHT OUT at BOG! (I think Heather and I are most excited about this part of our trip!)
July 12th MK Tonys for dinner
July 13th start the drive back home.

This will be a split stay for both of us. My family will stay at POR until 7/9 and then we will move over to AOA. Very excited about the AOA portion. I will let Heather fill you in on their resorts!

Woohoo! I'm here!

Ok ok ...I'll update a little! I'm a bad trip reporter! I'm a better food reporter! lol


So.....it started back in January 2013...DH and I jetted off to my Happy place for a long weekend....there we FINALLY decided to take the DVC tour! FINALLY!!
Well.....we decided to BUY! We bought just a small amount of points for VB...it was just enough to cover our stay for this summer! BUT...then we got home and decided we needed more and added more points at AKL!

Our July stay will be a split...(my goal is to stay at each DVC resort at least once!)...first half of stay will be a studio at Old Key West then we'll switch to a studio at AKL! Can not wait to walk in and hear.... "Welcome Home!"

We are undecided still...on the dining plan....hubby likes the thought of the DXDP and we have actually done deluxe in past...it was fun! I'm thinking we might do DXDP first half while at OKW and then regular DP last half while at AKL! Who knows what we'll decide?! We need to hurry up...we ONLY have 29 days to go!! Woohoo!

Yay Heather made it!

Tomorrow is the last day of school for my kids. We are so ready! On tap for today??? I am trying to make a packing list as well as a list of things I still need to buy. Yesterday I found some very cool glow in the dark glasses. Picked up a pair for each kid to go along with the many glow bracelets etc I already have.

Has anyone stayed at POR lately? We will be spending the first half of our trip there. We stayed in AB before but not since the renovations. Would love to see pics if you have any.
