I saw this on Yahoo this morning and giggled at it. Haven't heard any reviews on the airline but man if I could get to Europe for 100 bucks a ticket, my trips to France would be cheaper than my trips to Florida.

That was five years ago, and today WOW Air, based in Reykjavík, has turned into a major mover in the low-cost airline market. WOWconnects 27 destinations across the U.S. and Europe with the Icelandic capital and estimates that its annual passenger capacity will more than double in 2016 to over 1.8 million.

Today they’re launching fares from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Reykjavík for $99.

I've never been to Reykjavik except for a layover, may have to put it on my radar.

I'm sure though you will get the "fee-ed" to death.

This is a great deal. To bad I bought my flight months ago!

I looked on the site just for fun yesterday. The options are very limited. Iceland is the only $99 option and that is one way. If you want to go all the way to France or London you can add on another $200-$300 each way. It ends up being very comparable in price to any other airline IMO.

That's a good price, but they charge for everything, even water! Carry on is limited to 11 pounds and they weigh all carry on items. No entertainment systems either. Just make sure you understand what you ticket will really cost before buying.

I guess it was popular because I just checked it out for fun and there are no $99 fares, and no available flights from LAX or SFO to Iceland at all until June! It's definitely one of those "buyer beware" situations - make sure you know what is included and what extra fees you may incur before you book. Baggage fees especially can make a "low-cost" airline ticket not so low-cost any more.

I cant imagine seating in those seats though. pitch, 31-30, width, 15.
Do you get fed on the airplane???

is this WOW airline?

Heard it got it's name from a pilot who said "WOW we got off the ground? Just kidding.

those deals are amazing. I would love to go there..... I need a passport!!!:rotfl2:
