It's a money thing to have those that use the service pay for it.When does go into effect? Any talk of changing the amount or doing away with it? What was the rationale for it? (short version, please) Thanks.
DVC has traditionally charged a fee to use points for cruises, Conceirge Collection, and for II exchanges. In the past the Disney Collection didn't have a fee, just high points costs. Last year they raised some of the fees from $75 to $95. This year all fees become $95 plus the Disney Collection other than DL now has a fee with it, further reducing the value.Sorry to be dumb but what $95 fee?
Ed

I was told you have the month of Jan. with no fee. We booked friends into the camp site last week and did not get charged.
So am I understanding correctly that there are no fees to book on points at DL resorts?
I too think it's temporary and that GC will not be available at all to exchange to once DVC opens there. So am I understanding correctly that there are no fees to book on points at DL resorts?
We booked DCL last week (Had bonus points to burn) and were charged the $95 fee, so I dont believe they are waving the fee for the month of January.
If that's the case MS will be recieving a call tomorrow morning asking for my $95 to be refunded!!!!
Thanks for the heads up!
I think capecodfamily may be referring to the $95 fee for booking DISNEY WORLD resorts may be waived until February, as it is a completely new charge for those resorts. Since cruise trades have been charging this fee for quite some time, it probably isn't waived for cruises.
