We'll be in Anaheim 2/17-24, and current forecast has some highs up to 91. Does that feel as hot & muggy at DL as it does at WDW? Hoping some of y'all who have bicoastal experience can help me pack!

TIA!

No, not nearly the same because there isn't nearly as much humidity at DL. I just wear a hat and light summer cloths and those temps aren't bad at DL.

It is not nearly as unbearable but you will be uncomfortably warm. Especially at dca. Not like dying but like you could use a cold drink and will seek out shade.

It shouldn't be as bad, but for whatever reason this last year or so it's been unusually humid in CA. However it does get uncomfortably warm, so I would dress in summer clothes though it does cool off a lot faster when its hot during the winter compared to the summer where it stays warmer longer.

It does not get Florida humid in SoCal. Not even close. It can be humid by California standards, but I will always take 91F anywhere in Cali over 91F in Florida.

Cooling towels are amazing friends as is just pouring water over your head. Unlike Florida: this will not make you feel worse.

Just wear light clothes, drink plenty of water, and take breaks in attractions with AC.

The lower humidity in CA makes 91 much more tolerable than in FL. But 91 is still hot. Very hot. It was too uncomfortable for me to want to stay in the parks in the afternoon when we were there last October.

The one saving grace is that it does tend to cool down much better in the evenings.

I agree that 91 in DLR is going to feel hot, but it's not as bad as WDW. You'll hear it described as a "dry" heat, which I find more tolerable then the humidity that one gets in Florida.

I live here. This particular heat is due to a stalled high pressure system as well as Santa Ana winds which blow in a westerly direction (come from inland). It is DRY. The heat is not bad but you will be thirsty constantly so plan to drink a LOT of water and never really feel satisfied.

I don't tolerate heat well at all nor does one of my two kids. We were at the parks over the past week when highs were upper 80s and I didn't even sweat. In the shade, it felt downright cool. I just took my kids to our community pool. It was 85 and I was sitting on a lounger in the shade and I was borderline chilly. Our current humidity is 26%.

Don't stress about the heat at all. It's very manageable due to the low angle of the sun since it's still technically winter, and the low humidity. Bring a lightweight jacket/hoodie for nighttime. It gets very cool.

One difference is that WDW has more air conditioning in its queues and restaurants. Many of the restaurants at DL are split between indoor and outdoor seating.

Also....winter 91 is completely different from summer 91, in my opinion. The heat just does not last nearly as long during the day so it is much more bearable.

Yes it starts cooling off way faster in February than in July. I was at DL yesterday and by 5:00p yesterday it felt very nice outside.

Thanks everyone! I'll pack capris & lightweight slacks instead of heavy jeans, AND my lightweight Minnie hoodie!

Pack the jeans too. It is set to cool down significantly starting tomorrow. The heat won't be back until Sunday. Rain is likely on Thursday.
