Has anyone ever taken the 90 minute time share tour at Marriott Grande Vista? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Is it high pressure & did it take longer than the 90 minutes & what all is involved with the tour. We are staying there in March & that is part of the package we were offered....$199 for 4 nights in a 1 bedroom condo including 7500 Marriott Reward Points. Is it a nice resort? Thanks

We did the tour and they are probably one of the least pressure tours out there. Their product is so nice it sells itself.

If by some chance you do decide to buy there dont buy from them unless you get them to show you some resales because they do have them..or buy from another owner.

Thanks for the information. The resort looks pretty nice on the web site.

Its VERY nice, you wont be disappointed! Nice pools too

Hi Bonnie,

We stayed there in October and did their presentation. It is very low key however it did take a long time.

We were not that impressed with the resort for the following reasons:

1. Rug was disgustingly dirty in our room.
2. We tipped the Bellman $10 (for 7 bags) when we checked in (our room was ready). It took management 3 hours to find our luggage!
3. Pool was too far from our bldg to make any quick trips. We only swam once.
4. We ordered pizza to be delivered to our room and it took 2 hours. The excuse? It's raining.

We decided that we would have been much better off on-disney-property and with the rate we received (similar to yours) it wasn't worth staying off site. We were very disappointed and yes, we did make numerous calls to management. We were never moved, nor compensated in any way.

We will NEVER stay off-site again.

Wow Karen that doesnt sound like Marriott but then again no place is perfect all the time I guess.

We didnt have any problems like that so hopefully that was an isolated incident.

Diane,

I know... we trusted the Marriott name. Even my DH, who travels all the time for work, was astonished. Not once did they attempt to fix anything, they just made excuses. Wierd...

We went from AKL in February to this in October. Needless to say, we will never stay offsite again.

Another thing that we discovered... leaving the park by car each day was depressing. Seemed like we were leaving the magic. :( AND WE ALWAYS got LOST on the way out! The signs going into Disneyworld are GREAT! The signs on the way out were HORRID! We always ended up lost... lol
