Hi- I'm planning a birthday trip for a 9 year old turning 10. I have a question about character meals with a set price.
Will they charge for a childs meal before her birthday and then for an adult meal on her bday and after?

tia:)

I do believe this works the same way as a child going from 2 to 3 years old on the trip.

The child is the same age through the whole trip as he/she was on arrival day.

Meaning, your child should be thought of as 9 the entire trip.

Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

We had the same thing happen to our son:cake:. When I booked our trip the CM asked me which way I wanted to go. He told me that if my child was a big eater and wanted to eat off the adult menu I should book him as an adult, otherwise book him as a child.
I looked at the menus with my son and we decided it was worth it to book him as an adult, we were not sorry. :thumbsup2
The reason the CM said we could do this was that because his b-day was in the middle of the trip and if the computer says he is a kid he is a kid and as long as he orders off the kid menu a wait person would never ask (same thing if he is in as an adult).
The CM also told us our son could order from the kid menu if he wanted (if we paid for him as an adult) BUT said it would be more cost effective to pay out of pocket for the kid meal and save the adult meal credit.
This was our experience, be happy to answer any questions if this was not clear.:goodvibes

thanks for the replies! That's great news! She's not a big eater, so this will help out our pocketbook a little bit! The jump from childs to adults price on the buffet menus is pretty big.

Thanks again

Hi I agree with the previous posters. I have been through the same situation and your child stays the same age as they were on arrival day. We actually made sure we arrived before my sons 3 birthday for that reason.

we have a birthday trip for DD's 10th in december. i have been told multiple times that, as long as i check in when she is still nine, she will be considered nine during the entire trip (as far as pricing goes). :thumbsup2

If she is 9 and registered as 9 when you arrive, she will be considered a child for the entire trip.
