okay, here is how i break it down our choices are.......
grand villa at OKW
1 BR and a 2 BR at VWL
1 BR and 2 BR at AKL
again 9 people 6 adults 2 kids and 1 daughter who loves MK (which makes me lean VWL but i would love a savannah view at AKL but the price at OKW is quite a bit less...oh the decisions..what would you do..kind of get the feeling i cant go wrong

It would be tight, but with the occupancy of a 2 bedroom AKV villa being 9, you could "squeeze in" there. I assume you do not have an OKW home resort and you don't say what time of year your trip is. I'm going to assume you will not have a great chance at an OKW GV unless you can do the 11 month booking window. I don't consider either of those choices to be bad from the standpoint of getting to MK. Transportation from VWL, AKV, SSR, and OKW are all good to the MK. It's only the BWV and BCV that have issues getting there.

You're right you can't go wrong. How about 1 BR and 2BR at OKW as another option depending on how your sleeping arrangements will work out. The other option would be 2BR and studio if you are leaning towards VWL and AKV since that still gives you room for 12 but would be less points. I do love the OKW GVs as long as you are sure everyone is good with being together a lot of the time. No matter what you decide it sounds like a great trip. We did the 2BR and studio with our group of 8 adults and 2 children last year at OKW and it worked out great since some were there 10 nights (2BR group) and some only 5 It was because we had the DDP and did not want to pay for the extra 5 days for those staying in the studio if we had gotten a GV instead.

When are you going? If you are going soon, your decision may be controlled by availability. Do you own points or are you renting? If you rent, you are going to want to find an owner who owns at these resorts who can make reservations for you within the home resort window. If you own, then you will be stuck with your own home resort window (or be renting points), making a GV at OKW perhaps a difficult proposition.

we will be renting points from someone and we are going next june (11 month) window....as long as we can get to MK pretty easily then im good with OKW..we will have our own car should you drive to the other them parks or take the bus

If you can get the 11 month booking window, a GV is possible, but since we are already well into the 11 month booking window for next June, you need to move fast.

We find the bus service at OKW to be very good with the exception of going from there to AK. The AK bus stops at Blizzard Beach both coming and going, so takes a bit longer. If you have stroller age children, you might prefer driving to some of the other parks too, but you will always be best taking the bus to MK.
