Hi,

We're now less than 9 days away from our very 1st trip to WDW. There will be 6 of us, myself, my wife and our 4 kids (ages 6 to 14). We'll be staying at the Wilderness Lodge in a deluxe room/Jr. suite, so we'll have access to the concierge lounge. We're also on the dining plan. Any thoughts or suggestions on our dining plans? Here's what we have lined up:

Friday, Jan. 16th - Arrive in Orlando at 4:45, take the ME to the Wilderness Lodge, 7:45 ADR and Whispering Canyon

Saturday, Jan. 17th - 8:00 ADR for breakfast at the Crystal Palace, Magic Kingdom that day, counter-service for lunch, then a 7:15 ADR for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review.

Sunday, Jan. 18th - Breakfast in the WL concierge room, Animal Kingdom that day with counter-service lunch, then a 6:45 ADR at Raglan Road.

Monday, Jan. 19th - Breakfast in the WL concierge room, Epcot with counter-service lunch, then a 6:15 ADR for the Biergarten.

Tuesday, Jan. 20th - Breakfast in the WL concierge room,, MK that day, counter-service lunch, then dinner ADR at Chef Mickey's.

Wednesday, Jan. 21st - Breakfast in the WL concierge room, DHS that day, counter-service lunch, then dinner ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Thursday, Jan. 22nd - Breakfast in the WL concierge room, Epcot or flex day, counter-service lunch, then 5:15 dinner ADR at Le Cellier.

Friday, Jan. 23rd - Breakfast in the WL concierge room, 5:00 p.m. flight back home.

I feel pretty good about our ADRs, but really don't have a clue about the counter-service options. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

looks good!! :) have a great trip! My family and I will be there 18-25th. Your family will have a blast!! :)

It looks great! I can tell you have been reading the boards and using the advice you find. You made some very smart decisions especially for a newbie. ;)

I'd just double-check the timing on your MK dinners. Make sure there is one night you can get to dinner and back to MK to see Spectro and Wishes. It's definitely not to be missed!

Out of all your ADR's we've been to every place except for the Hoop Review. The only one we didn't care for was Whispering Canyon Cafe, but we've had good meals and good service at all of the others. You did great!

At MK, we really like the taco salads at El Pirata y El Perico (across from Pirates). You can even request to get your ice cream bars after your lunch when on the DP. It is open seasonally so I'm not sure if it will be open when you go. Many people rave about the nice selection at Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland. When we went we got burgers and they were just okay. If you like BBQ ribs and chicken, lots of people say they are good there.

At Epcot, one of our favorites is Sunshine Seasons in The Land at Future World. I really like the grilled salmon. We also really liked the Yakitori House in Japan in World Showcase. I had the tempura shrimp udon and it was good.

At DHS we like to go to Pizza Planet because DS (5) loves it. You can get pizza with salad and we all like it. DS likes to play at the arcade there also.

Enjoy your trip!!
