My first trip report. We arrived Sept.30 and returned home Oct. 9th.
We went for a combo trip. My birthday, my nephew's birthday and lots of F&W dining
We started 3 days at the Dolphin which we never experienced followed by 6 nights at the Boardwalk.
Day 1- Great flight and we jumped into a taxi to the Dolphin for our first Dolphin stay. We took a taxi and the driver stopped to Walgreens to let us stock up on water, snacks, Coke Zero and then we were off to the hotel.
We were worried about staying at the Dolphin because it has so many mixed reports but we had a great rate, knew we wouldn't be in the room much so we went for it!
Our room was ready as soon as we arrived (11:30 am) and off to the room we go. We were thrilled with the view and the room was very clean.
We decided to get some pool time because we knew we had a packed weekend and the weather was beautiful.
Again so happily surprised with the pool area. We had an easy time getting lounge chairs under palm trees so umbrella needed. We were at the lap pool so my husband was thrilled and swam a few times during the afternoon. We grabbed a quick sandwich under the cabana area that was cool, comfy and sun free. The staff were great.
After lunch we walked around the rest of the pool area and saw the waterfall pool and kids area. Both very clean and roomy.
The beach area was small but very nice and again lots of chairs and space.
Sadly it was time to head to the room but the thought of O'hana's family and a custom GF cake were great motivators!!!!!!
Next up evening fun & lots of Aloha and CAKE!!!!!!!!
