9 Days Eatin Around the World....Yum....long..

This trip we.....DH, DM, DD5 and myself tried 3 hotels and
lots of new restaurants....Yummmmmy

Day 1 Aug 22....Yacht Club...
Yacht Club Galley Lunch....
I had.....Galley Steak Salad.....very good...
DM...Chicken Caesar salad...very yummy....perfect amount of dressing.
DD. hamburger kids meal....same burger as everywhere.
DH stayed at room to rest..

Dinner....Yacht Club Galley again.....
We all had the steak sandwich....its like an open faced potroast....
very good....yummm.
Creme Brulee for dessert.

8-22...Check in Beach Club Villas...
Eat lunch at Epcot met up with friends...Sunshine Seasons....
I had Seared tuna over salad....very fresh and yummy surprising...
DH and mom stayed at room..
My friends had Roasted Chicken with mashed and veggies,
Chicken Caesar, 1 drumstick kidsmeal...and 2 mac/cheese kids meals.
Everyone enjoyed their lunch...Dessert more Creme Brulee...not as good
when made fresh....but yummy just as well

Dinner was Spoodles....THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!!
I had Lamb Kebobs app....and Rigitoni dish with sausage and tomatoes...
Delicious....really good...soooo good.
DH had 4 cheese flatbread... very large...also very good...Main course
was Steak Kabobs...very good and large......to much for 1..
DM...OMG she had the shrimp app....which is like shrimp scampi....
unbelievable yummy....Red Snapper dinner...she said this was also
delicious..
Dessert was the Sampler plate....little bit of everything....does it
get better than this it's for 2...also another
creme brulee...
DD was in kids club....she really loves it there

Lunch DH and myself...Le Cellier....betta than last time
I had Strip or Sirloin steak....BEST STEAK I EVER HAD....
Can't believe it....It was as tender as a filet....but more flavor....
soooo good.....my app was lamb kebobs....very yummy...
Dessert...another creme brulee....Vanilla and Maple Cream....holy crow
thats really good....
DH had Seared Tuna app...and the filet...both were great...but
nothing was beating my steak.......Creme brulee again...
Yes we love it...

DM took DD to Garden Grill for lunch...she said the food was good
sorry couldn't get more outta her

For Dinner Back to Sunshine Seasons in epcot...
We all had the roasted chicken dinner....we got there around 8 oclock
too late....food was kinda warm....not hot....and dry...
Lunch was better here.

8-25....
Cape May Character Bkfst...
Very good....everything you could think of for bkfst...and
hot and yummy....Good character interaction...

Dinner was supposed to be Princess meal at GF....but we got
soaked in a thunderstorm and turned back....
Went back to Yacht club galley for some more yummy
steak sandwiches...

8-26..Checkin to POFQ...free dining....
Lunch at foodcourt...
I had chicken parm w/spagetti....very moist chicken...sauce...eh....
DH had Taco Salad....very good...
DM had a burger...DD ate a hotdog...all very good...

Dinner Kona Cafe....DD got sick so mom stayed in room while
she slept....
I had Dumplings and Macadamian nut Crusted Mahi Mahi.....Always
a favorite....it did not dissapoint...
Yummy nut tart for dessert...
DH had Sticky Wings and filet mignon....He loved it...they were
very good...

8-27....
Lunch at POFQ food court...
DH and DM had burgers...
I had the meatball parm sub....surprisingly really good....
Dessert was hot beignets plenty of powdered sugar

Dinner...DH and I went to JIKO...
This was a little dissapointing....I didnt think it was worth 2 TS....
Service felt rushed....
My app was OK....3 small little pasty shells with beef in it....
It was alright...
DH app was the most dissapointing...
Taste of Africa....was basically like a bread basket with 3 dipping sauces...
They don't even make it there....right outta the jar
Main Courses were very good...DH had the Beef Rib....really tender and
flavorful....
I had the Lamb Shank....very good....but I have to say
nothing wowed us....
I really think Cali Grill blows this place away....

8-28...
Can't remember lunch.....
Dinner was OHANA.....WOW....so good....sooo much better than
I expected.....everything was hot fresh and delicious....
So much food....Giant Salad with the perfect amount of yummy
dressing....Wings....yummm...Shrimp...ya have to peel em though...

Then they start bring the meat...Turkey...so good and favorful...
Sausage...a little dry...and Beef...good...
Dessert was this unbelievable plate of yumminess...
We were so full but fought over it

8-29...
Lunch Hotdogs at typhoon lagoon...

Dinner Boma....This place is always DELICIOUS....The best buffet
I ever had the pleasure of eating at....
The CHICKEN PEPPER POT Soup.......My favorite food in all
of WDW.....so good.....
I actually skip dessert to have another cup

8-30....Departure Day
Bkfst....at GF...character bkfst....
Preplated..
1st fresh fruit plate and muffin, croissant basket...

Your choice of Bkfst...
I had american.....eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes....delish...
DM had the same...
DD had choco chip pancakes....
Then they bring a mickey waffle with different toppings...
Much better than I thought it would be..

Conclusion....
I did not notice any difference in service or quality of food
when free dining started...
This trip we had some of the best dinners we have ever had...
Spoodles and Ohana was a first.....and a must every trip...

I didn't put what DD ate most of the time....It was always
chicken nuggets and fries

Thanks so much for your reviews, you're making me so hungry! I've got all of my ADR made for our February trip but after reading some of your reviews I'm tempted to change some. We like chicken, shrimp, red meat, etc. or I should say normal food but I'm tempted to try Kona after I've read your review. I've already got a reservation for O'hana's. Spoodles sounds good too but we'll have our DS9 with us also and he's definitely a chicken strips boy. haha Anyway, thanks for sharing with us.

I would definately try Kona....it really is soooo good...
Best 1 TS in WDW...IMO...although Spoodles gave Kona good
competition.
