We have a 9-day trip with myself, DH, DS (13), DD (9). Part of our trip will be with my family (my parents, sis and her hubs, 4yo and 1yo nieces) and a couple days will be with my husband's parents. For our family of 4 we have 9-day tickets (including arrival day as we plan to get early AM flight). We cannot decide what to do on arrival day - please advise. Here's what we have so far: ARRIVAL/DAY 1 -???; DAY 2 - MK; DAY 3 - Epcot; DAY 4 - HS; DAY 5- Epcot; DAY 6 - MK; DAY 7 - AK; DAY 8 - HS; DAY 9 - MK. We would like to start with MK but that would be 3 full and 1/2 day at MK - I'm worried kids will be sick of it? Our TA suggested HS for arrival but that would be 2 full and 1/2 days there and I'm wondering if that is necessary... or if she's right since there will be several new rides since we were last there (2014)? What feedback do you have on our "rough draft" itinerary = do we have the right # of days for each park? And what do you suggest for our arrival day park? THANKS!

We like to start at MK, so day one would definitely be MK, even if it was a half day. Get the 3 fp you can and then do things like Tom Sawyer Island, CoP, Country Bears.
Or maybe go to Disney Springs the first day. Great places to eat, the Void, balloon...

Maybe start with AK? It looks like you’ve got it at the end of your trip which is a great strategy to score FOP FPs. I assume you’re touring with your sister and her family? I think the young kids might enjoy the trails at AK.

AK has so much you can do and see without ever getting on a ride during the second half of the day. The animal trails and exhibits, the shows, which don't really require fast passes. Pandora at night is worth a walk through even without rides, and the safari at sunset is a wonderful experience.

1/2 day MK and 1/2 day Disney Springs? There so much to see at Disney Springs that ISN'T shopping. If you haven't done The Void...it's amazing!
