Just got the vacation request forms for our children. Our principal had to get approval from the school board. (this is just my little ones.) Our older child does not start school until Monday, so we will have alittle less time to sort everything out for him.

Sandy -

Tag of Me was a spontaneous invention :) You'd make a tag - any size - then personalize it with a picture or you (or maybe your favorite Disney Character) and a little bit of info about yourself.

Artist Trading Card - they are the size of baseball trading cards (this website has a great explanation http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html) - and could also be personalized.

Both make great (and easy) swap items. In both cases you can use ANY techniques you want - stamps, stickers, pictures, etc - to express yourself. Both can be used in a scrapbook when we all get home to remember the friends we met onboard.

i had a thought on the tag idea (I know I am not signed up for the scrapbooking...but...I had a thought) I hope you guys don't mind me sharing...

is a business card to big for a tag? you can buy the business cards for your computers...print something on them...they can have a pict of you or your family or whatever....they aren't too expensive and most print programs have one for starting from scratch...i just thought the size would be good....

Although they aren't on that acid free paper, I think you are supposed to use for scrapbooking????

AAAGGHHH! Yeah, you guys are talking in some foreign scrapbookers language! I starting making one page for a scrapbook for my son about 10 years ago, and it went the way of the other projects "seasoning" in a box somewhere. I realized a few years ago that I have some kind of personality disorder that won't allow me to actually finish anything.

Ok I have a question. I swear that I read somewhere on the Disboards that each person will only get 2 luggage tags and no more for the cruise. Someone on the cruise thread was asking if they could just send a case of water through and i replied that you could not. (i also read that water had to be in a bag.) Someone else posted that I was wrong. So now i am confused. Can you only get 2 luggage tags and does the case of water have to be in a bag or not? I figured all of you knowledgeable cruisers would know.

Business cards are kind of on the small side for a tag. :teeth:

I thought I would post a little piece of information that I haven't mentioned before.... My 8ds would like y'all to know that he goes by Elvis (that is actually his dis name but, he has never posted -- he reads the boards on a regular basis).

It has really been bothering him that i haven't told y'all his name is Elvis. :teeth: And he goes by this name in many situations -- that is what he will be referred to in the kids club, also.

His favorite vacation spot is Graceland. He knows quite a bit of trivia about *The King*. :)

This started a couple of years ago and doesn't seem to be letting up.... although it has been a while since the last time he asked me if he could dye his hair black. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know that I have mentioned that he is 8 going on 40.....

Yes, you only get 2 luggage tags per person. I have no idea about the water. i've never tried to bring my own water on board.

I knew I read that they won't give you more then two luggage tags! I thought I was going crazy for a second.

Can't wait to meet the "King" ... he sounds just as fun as his Mom!

I've taken part in a # of swaps, both on-line and in person, both types. I agree it's too close to sailing time for a layout swap.

A smaller swap of Tags (Disney or DCL theme) with each person bringing enough for everyone would be nice.

That sounds like a fun idea, if we all did a tag large enough, say 3"X4" so that it would hold a small photo (if you wanted). Then punched a hole on the top or left side, (for a binder ring or ribbon) we would all go home with a little mini book and a little momento of each other.

Here is a picture of what that idea might look like
http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=914025

What do you think? I am not offended if no one thinks that's a good idea .. it's all just for fun.

A bottle of wine! :cool1:
So I'll bring it on the cruise! It was one of the door prizes at the travel show.

I don't know jack about wine, so don't ask me what kind it is. :rotfl:

I found some great fishy gifts on this trip.

This is a page from a little Disney book that I put together last night. It's an example of what a tag could look like.

Ricka47: The 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, IMO, are the best. Everything is deocrated for Christmas but the parks are not crowded. It seems Most folks want to go during Thanksgiving or Christmas-New Years week. The temperature is great, weather is great, lines are short! :sunny:

We try to go up to WDW each year at this time.

Carol

Are the prices at the hotels reasonable at this time too??? I am considering this for next year. Thirty times at the park and I never saw the decorations. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Also any get togethers and celebrations that may be happening...
ANY suggestions are appreciated.

No joke. I will just collect from this cruise and just keep it until I have ten cruises to do all at once.

Hi Karen,

Cute tag! I think a tag about ourselves is a great idea and a wonderful way to remember all of the fun people we met onboard.

I'm up for about anything at this point! Just let me know what you all decide! ;)

Karen
