Oh I can! I bet you have bit your tongue in two. :rotfl2: It's like it was said earlier by someone. She knows she can vent on you two. It's not right, but it's safe for her. I'm just afraid for her as to what the future is going to be like. As one of these days she is going to have her full of it. Then it's going to get ugly!! Also by then there is no telling who all will be involved.

LOL They wouldn't have had to get into the greats. As just his nieces and nephews were into to the hundreds. I know at least 4 of his siblings had 12 or more kids.

LOL! If that's *a few* I wonder what *a lot* looks like?? :confused3 :rotfl:

Exactly!! The funny thing is that her future MIL is the one that pushed Seth into asking Katherine out to begin with & they are the ones that told him it was time to get married.......

On to another topic... I can't believe you live for Ireland in 17 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! jon told me yesterday that they are thinking about opening up in Dublin later this year...... If they do we are all going!!!! We're not Irish BUT, we are CATHOLIC! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Stephanie, sounds like you are really having a stressful time :grouphug: Sorry to hear of your nephews accident, but glad he is doing better.

It is so frustrating that weddings always seem to bring out the worst in people (funerals too) I have yet to meet anyone, whose wedding was *perfect* We knew a couple and her parents had spent $30,000 on the wedding, that was 20 years ago. They were living in a one bedroom apartment in a not so great area, and I remember thinking .... why didn't they just buy a house? We lost touch with them, but 7-8 years later we saw her working in a grocery store at midnight, and she was pregnant. Turned out that her first marriage ended within 2 years, and she had married someone else. I really hope her parents got smarter on the second wedding :crazy2:

We have some friends who married off three of their kids within the last few years and they placed a ceiling on the amount they would pay out for the wedding. They all got the same amount, one daughter went with a simple wedding and used the rest of the money to put her husband through culinary school. The other daughter spent every cent on a lavish wedding. To each his own. I thought it was a great idea to make the bride responsible for the how they spent the money. It's much harder to spend it when it's your own money :thumbsup2

I'm sure Katherine is under a lot of pressure from her inlaws and of course she wants to please her husband to be. She is probably only venting out loud to you because she knows she can. She has your unconditonal love .... she's not so sure about her in-laws. :worried:
I found Katherine to be a gracious and refined young lady, her upbringing will win out in the end.

I will post pics after we get it all fixed up (well at least painted). I didn't think about having to handle our own luggage. We always drive. But it is only $21 per person so, I guess we will be picking up our luggage ourselves. :thumbsup2 My family and I traveld on planes all the time when I was younger and it was always my job to get the luggage. I always thought it was fun, but looking back I don't know why :confused3 .

Hope things are getting better with the wedding!

I can't wait to see the pics!!!

You're right. The price is right!!! :goodvibes Jon hates handling luggage. One of the things I like about the ABD trip is that Disney is going to handle all of my luggage. :goodvibes

Too funny about it beingyour job when you were younger!

LOL! If that's *a few* I wonder what *a lot* looks like?? :confused3 :rotfl:

LOL I know! That is what hit me as so funny.

YIKES! This is just getting worse and worse. Well it's a train wreak waiting to happen. But the only thing you can do for her is wait, watch, and be there to pick up the pieces for her. It's sad and hard. But it beats saying anything and ruining the relationships, by trying to tell her anything now.

I know, I am getting so excited!!! I've pulled out the suitcase and started gathering things up. Making a list of things that needs replacing or added. The tour company will only allow 1 bag per person and the airline will only allow 50lbs. So I'm trying to figure out how to do 7 days of clothes in 1 bag under 50lbs. :scratchin My way of thinking since I had to pay a singles price (which is usually full fare for 1 and then half the price for a 2nd person). Then I should be atleast able to take 2 bags.

Adding:

Oh if you go, let me know! I'll tag alone!

I'm looking at some tours for my Sept trip. I can't decide to spend the day in London or go to Stonehenge for the day.

Congrats on the new job Crystal. Build a bear,:ewok: it's almost as cool as working for Disney!

Stephanie, sounds like you are really having a stressful time :grouphug: Sorry to hear of your nephews accident, but glad he is doing better..

Thank you! I htink it will really help his spirits when he goes home -- he can see his sweet baby girl!!! I know he's missed his baby.::yes::

We had always said that we wanted our children to have small weddings and then use the rest for either a business or a house. :goodvibes Her fiance already owns a nice home.

I think you should be allowed 2 bags, also!! :)

I'll let you know when I find out more info!!! :)

Tough choices!!! Are you going with anyone on that trip?

Let me know! If anything, I can give you some ideas.

Just me. I can't find anyone to go with me. Which means I can march to my own beat. :cool1: I also thought if I did London, then I might try to catch a theater show. Wicked is out, as the time is too late. I've never done London. I have 10 hours there.

For some strange reason the board will not let me read all the posts from the last page. It seems like I missed alot. The board WILL NOT let me in certain pages. Lots has been going on. Did anyone else get a strange e-mail today from another board????? Let me know???

I just had company for dinner so I tried to play ketchup but could not. Talk with you all tomorrow.

Karen I totally agree with you. I took an easier way out. I told my children I will pay for their college totally but whatever they wanted for a wedding was on them. I gave them the education to decide what was important to them.

Katherine is a charming, friendly, gracious, and nice young lady. The future in-laws should appreciate how lucky they are!!!! Katherine is doing them the favor of letting them be part of her family.:thumbsup2 All this stress is just not healthy for Katherine.

You got it because you are on the 15nt E repo. There are a couple of people on that board that are on the other board -- I got the same type of email when I first started posting on the 10nt thread.

I am actually a memeber of that board (only posted a couple of times) BUT, I can't remember my name there! LOL!!!!!

That's the board that we talked about for a bit after our cruise. It was started because of some things that happened on the thread for the first E repo in '05!

Thanks, this explains a lot.

I just really hope Katherine is just happy on her wedding day. I had the "Here's Raymond" in-laws from hell. It really can ruin a marriage. Here is hopping that she will find happiness inspite of her future in-laws. Maybe her futre DH will realize what is really happening. It took my DH too many years to finally figure out his parents were just plain evil!!!!:lmao:

Stay in London ! :thumbsup2

Stonehange is a boring journey there, a boring journey back and when all is said and done, they're only a pile of old stones - and that's coming from someone who loves history.

You'd be better off going to the Tower of London and queing to see the Crown Jewels or an open-top bus tour of London.

If you think there are too many crowds in central London go to Windsor Castle for a few hours.

Lots to do with so little time.

David

My parents told me if I had a small wedding I could have the $$ but, I wanted my dream disney wedding, so thats what I got. His dad thought we should take the $$ but he lost that battle. Hopefully you only have one wedding and I wouldn't change mine for the world!!!

We would love to travel more! I wish we could go to Ireland, I bet its beutiful. Have a great trip.

Now if we could talk them into a Disney wedding I would say *Cost be damned!* :rotfl: :rotfl: Because that's where Jon (me & the kids, too) would rather be! LOL! And Jon is ALWAYS willing to spend BIG bucks at Disney! :scared1:
