I'm here!! I'm all packed and ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need Thursday morning to get here. I went and got my nails (feet and hands) done today. My grandmother came over and ironed all of my clothes for me. Bless her heart, she's 77 years old and it took her 6 hours to iron them all. But they are all packed and in the suitcase now.

I am still running around like crazy trying to get everything done. I can't believe how long it is taking me to get ready. I don't even have my door magnets or my fish extender completely done! There always seems like one more thing to wash/iron or go out and get. I just remembered to suspend mail and newspaper service; now I need to call to arrange transportation to the airport. Well, back to work!

I HATE IRONING Tomorrow is my day in the spa, hands, feet, and a facial. I have to see what Florence is up to. Going to see if she is taking a turn up north. I just called T-Mobile and they said I can be set up with World wide cell phone service. My phone will work most places in the world. We just had to give are approval. It is only $1.49 a minute compared to DCL at $16.95 a minute. I still will use your phone as back up if that is okay with you. We think we know how to dial world wide. They gave us a quick lesson over the phone.

Hi Cheryl, Amy, Carol and all the folks still "out there"!

I had my fingers and toes done today. Looking good. Also stopped and had my hair cut and spiffed up a bit. I'm finally all packed and ready to cruise. Talked to Chipper a few minutes ago and she's ready too!

Anybody got a report on Florence yet? Where is she headed?

LOL I would send her, but then I don't have anyone to do mine when I get back. I can't bend to get clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer. So someone has to do my laundry for me. Plus I HATE ironing! With a pink, purple passion!! I'm so glad that wrinkled looking clothes is in style!!

All I like to pack is my electroic stuff. So I'll have my phone! When I got my phone, it took me 2 days to figure it out. I even took the book with me. I finally had to call Verizon and ask them how to do it.

They will update the TS in 40 minutes. But the 5pm advisory looks like it's taking the turn east.

i've got a question.....
i booked an excursion for each of the islands that would allow our entire party ( we have 3 kids under 6). i called DCL today and incidentally asked about the excursions and was told that most of the excursions probably would not allow a car seat and that there was no guarantee that there would even be seatbelts on the buses/vans (whatever). i have a 1 year old. there is no way i am travelling with her in any moving land vehicle without her car seat- i just don't feel safe. the DCL rep told me that each island has there own set of rules, so car seats may not be mandatory on that island. well that's all fine and good, but i still don't want her travelling without a car seat. so now what do i do since i am "past" the 3 day cancellation period? there was no mention that car seats couldn't be accomodated and i chose these excursions specifically so she (nd my other children) would be able to come with us. i also have a double stroller and was told that i probably couldn't bring that either. my 4 year old has some mobility issues- he fatigues easily due to a metabolic disorder. there was also no mention of strollers not being allowed either.

HELP!

Cathi, I certainly understand your concern. The driving can be scary at times to say the least in the Caribbean. Hopefully they will see your point of view and let you cancel. Try not to worry about it too much. Try to stay postitive that all will work out.

We are renting a car in St. Thomas from Budget. You can get seats for the kids. If someone in your group is willing to drive. It might be a good option. Like I said the driving is a little crazy (and on the left), but the speed limit is only 30 mph. So, I figure it can't be too terrible.

It has been a pleasure chatting with you all...now it will be a greater pleasure to meet you all. I have some work to do tonight and then a few last minute packing things...I go to work early in the morning and work until noon and then fy out tomorrow afternoon.

We decided not to bring the laptop so we could bring the curds! DH would not be defeated in this. He wants to bring the cheese curds. He talked to TSA today and figured out a way to bring them. Not we have to hope Disney allows us to bring cheese on the ship. If they say anything I am going to remind them that Walt once said " I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing - that this was all started by a mouse" and mice eat cheese so I will just say that the curds are for Mickey who started it all!

Now it's time to say goodby to all our company...

I'm getting ready for bed. Packing toiletries tonight. have 3 clothes suitcases and one water suitcase packed and ready to go plus my carryon.
Rabbit is at her "Grandma's" house, cat sitter is lined up, paper stopped,
doggie camp reservations made.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to get to sleep!
I'm not going to worry about Florence or the TD behind her. The ship will stay out of their way and we will have a great time!

We will all meet up on Thursday.

Okay, getting on a plane at 07:55 AM tomorrow morning, so everyone say a little prayer for me. I wanna go on a cruise!

Well after ironing about 15 shirts, folding them and putting them in suitcases, I am sure they are going to need to be ironed again when we unpack. So I have already decided to send out a batch of ironing and possibly even have a couple of things cleaned first thing. I am working on my packing strategy as I am a little worried about not having all of our luggage show up. So I am distrubuting everyone's clothing into at least two different suitcases plus one change of clothing in the carry-on. I won't know how many suitcases I will need until I finish this chore, which seems to be taking days to complete.

DS decided that rather than call them toiletries, he calls them "poopies". It's so cute when we have everything else packed and it is time to pack our personal items, he says "Time for poopies?" Even teenagers can be endearing - sometimes. Today he informed me that he really needs a new swimsuit for the trip. Of course the only place I can get one this time of year is at the store at the mall that sells only swimwear. So I have to squeeze that in between his morning fantasy football draft and my afternoon manicure/pedicure appointment.

23 hours left until we catch our ride to the airport. I hope I can get some sleep; last night it was sleep 3 hours, awake 3 hours, sleep 3 more hours. I just can't stop thinking about all the things I still need to get done.

This is my last post since I am on my way to meet Mickey tomorrow! Tomorrow is only two hours away!!!!! My husband doesn't get off work until midnight so I have to wait for him to finish up the packing. Then we are leaving for the airport at 4am! I hope I can sleep on the plane...

I've been sleeping like that for the past week. After a few days it catches up with me and I actually get a good night's sleep and then it starts all over again.

Just one more night and then we can sleep like babies on the ship!

I keep saying "Just get me on, get me on that ship and I don't care where you take us".

Not anywhere near ready here. AT this point what gets done, will be done.

Alright, time to get kids ready for school one last day before I leave!
