:rotfl2: I thought of you and how you would rather it didn't change for us. The idea of seeing one would be GREAT! But the traffic getting from the airport to the ship on such a day would be! :scared1:

Oh My Goodness, what are you people thinking? You have posted so many pages, I'm having reading cramp! :rotfl2:

We had a fabulous time on our three-day cruise, and now the countdown begins for my Disney Cruise. I've got lots of laundry, and many more chores to do before I feel ready for this cruise.

Congrats go out to Brandy and Steve! This cruise will really be special for you and the grandparents to be. Enjoy the wonderful process.

Sandy: I'm sure you are busting a gut with pride and excitement!

Husband left this morning once more for Washington, DC, so I have some time to get everything done.

Chipper and Cheryl: Hope your Meet and Greet went super. You girls must have had one great gab session. Fill us in.

As for the Shuttle launch, I sure hope it does not take place on the 6th or 7th, since that will really gum up the highways and byways to the Port. I've seen so many launches anyway - used to work for a NASA Space Shuttle Contract, and it is really fun, but boy the crowds are really big.

My biggest hope is that weather clears for Florida so we can have a great sail-away day.

Pixie Dust and prayers for those who may be affected by Ernesto.

Congrats Brandy and Steve.

I would love to see tha launch but I don't want to deal with the crowds....I rather get to the ship quickly and avoid crowds...hope the launch goes earlier than the 7th.

You are so right on the traffic from the airport. We were there a number of years back to watch a shuttle launch, and the traffic was worse than 5:00 pm rush hour traffic :car: in the city of Chicago. :headache:
So they can launch it the day before or the day after, just not that day. Especially since there are still a few of us coming in that morning. Sorry Steve

Hey Steve and any other left-coasters taking the red-eye on the 6th - anyone flying Delta connecting in Atlanta? I am just wondering if any of us will be on the same flight (Delta 1585) from Atlanta to MCO on Thursday morning.

Well I got my "base sunburn" on Saturday at the local water park. Now just 7 more pounds to go in the next 10 days and I might be able to fit into my cruise clothes (as long as all 7 pounds come off my hips  ). I think I actually succeeded in putting together a fish extender using fusable hem tape and my iron. Now to tackle the door magnets...

DD just moved out on Friday (again...long story) so I have put every suitcase we own into the room so that when I pack (which won't be until the day we leave) I can choose the best combination of sizes.

I am personally in no hurry for the grandchildren thing. I told my kids that I didn't want any until I was at least 50. Well I made it. Now I just hope that they actually get married someday (and stay married and and don't want to move back home again). I did start saving the best toys as Bryan (now 14) grows out of them so that I would have them for grandchildren (I am never parting with the zillion dollars worth of Legos; they will go with me to my grave).

Good luck with the saving, I have 34 years of various kinds of toys in our attic and now they don't want them. Great I guess we'll be on e-bay alot. :surfweb:

OH you could do HGTV's "Cash in the Attic"! With all of those toys!

I have mixed feelings about the shuttle launch too. It is a once in a lifetime thing for us if it happens for my family, but i don't really care. I went with my husband once to the space center and it was the most boring day of my life. He was a kid at Christmas there, but I remember it as the day I will never get back. My dad would be really excited to see a launch though so if it happens we will have to go see it, but if it doesn't i won't be disappointed.

I have booked a town car and am now wondering if I should be taking the Disney Transfers in case of this shuttle launch and traffic etc....

I only took the transfers back to the Airport after the Tropical Storm Ophelia re-location to FLL...

Has anyone used the Transfers or is anyone booked to use them this cruise ?

I have used the transfers and love the whole process of it. I am booked again to use them this time around. To me it's one of the greatest features that Disney has to offer it's clients.

Other cruise lines are SLOWLY adding this to thier sailing process.

Do you sit at the airport and wait very long until the buses are full ?
What time are you arriving at the airport AMLEE ?

OK... because my head has been IN cloud 9... I must have missed something on the news or on the boards... has the launch been rescheduled to our sail date?
Are we going to be in traffic? What's going on? I'm LOST! Help!

I used them to set up my home daycare!...
My daycare kids didn't know who HE-Man, She-Ra, & Skelator were... they thought Castle Grey Skull was VERY cool and LOVED all my daughters Rainbow Brite, Sprite dolls. Alot of the parents were in awe of my toys and wanted to stay and reminise their childhood! :rotfl:
(I kept the Barbies & G I Joes for myself.) I LOVE TOYS!
