I haven't seen a thread about this quickie cruise to Nassau. We're leaving on 9/6/2007; surely we won't have the entire ship to ourselves, right?

Maybe I'll post once a day until someone joins me!

I've got three kids and a husband going....

a 6 year old boy
a 4 year old boy
a 2 year old girl who will celebrate her 3rd birthday aboard.

Still no, huh?

OK, well, I'll chat to my own self, then.

We're now in the 105 day window, and just as soon as we pay in full we can book Palo and the spa! Hopefully, my paycheck will arrive on Friday and ressies will be still available.

I'm hoping to get that done before the 90 day window opens.

Of course, seeing as we have the boat completely to ourselves, perhaps I need not worry.

No...you are not alone at all. I've been waiting for someone else to start this post. I'm going with my 7 year old son. This will be second Disney cruise. I just bought airfare this week. We are ready to go!!

Oh, yaaaaay!! My first real, live meet thread! Glad to have someone to plan with!

Hopefully, our two guys will meet each other at the Oceaneers Club. I don't think we're debarking in Nassau, so my kids will be there a lot of the day that day.

Our last cruise we didn't get off the boat at Nassau either so I'm guessing that this the plan this round. He spent the ENTIRE time in the clubs. I actually found myself bored but am hoping to plan things out a little better this round.

Have to post this instead of private because I'm a browser not a poster and can't send a private message!!

Hi! My name is Amanda and my husband and I are considering taking our baby (3 months today!) on his first cruise on the 9/6 sailing you posted about. We went on a disney cruise last year and had a great time. I am hoping you would consider doing a quick favor for me to help in planning our cruise. We really want to be able to leave him in Flounder's Reef for a few hours on Castaway Cay day and get a little alone beach time. It is important enough to use to change our travel plans if we can't get nursery time on that day! The quandary is since Disney won't let us know about availability without a reservation we are now in the window where we would lose our deposit if we booked and couldn't get care. I miscounted the days and thought I had through this week but I was wrong.

Would you mind logging into your cruise and without goofing up any reservations you might have, see if you see any availability for the nursery on the 8th during the day? I think your daughter is young enough that it should show up.

If you don't have time or don't feel comfortable checking, no problem. Hope to see you on board!!

Amanda

No problem. I just looked and Flounder's is closed from 1-5 on CC day. It is open from 9-1 and all slots are available and also open from 5:30-12 midnight and all slots are open there too. Sounds like you'll be cruising with us!! :)

Thank you so much for checking, I've booked our cruise and the nursery time too. We can't wait!

See you on board. Thanks again.

Amanda

I'm very curious and am unsure what I'm doing myself. Are you guys insuring the cruise. I haven't done so yet and can't really decide whether or not it's worth the extra $100 to do so. My main worry is hurricans but it looks like the better insurance in regards to them happens to be more expensive. The short time frame is what is keeping me from doing it.

We are not doing the insurance. We're local to the port and would be more than happy to reschedule, reroute or whatever. The real issue is the health insurance.

Hi, I just read your post. We are also going on the 6th-9th on the wonder. (DR, DD-5yrs, DS-3yrs & Niece 9 yrs.We are so excited and happy about our trip. I have made reservations for PAlo on the second night. See you then.

I'm on this cruise now, I'm 19 and my dad will be going too. if anyone going on this cruise reads this would love to meet more people met a bunch of people from the disboards on my last cruise August 19th, 2006 that was a double dip cruise

excited for this one though

I am also going. My husband and I with a 5 yr old daughter and a 17 yr old daughter and her friend. My brother is also joining us with his two kids. A 6 yr old son and a 14 yr old daughter. This is the first Disney cruise for all of us and we are so excited we can hardly stand it.

would anyone want to have a disboards meet the first day? before the lifeboat drill or after at the sailaway party? just wondering if one isn't already planned. let me know it would be fun to meet some more disboarders

Well, my family is jumping ship over to the 4-day on 9/30 -- sorry that we won't get to enjoy the cruise with you.
