9:30 ADR at CP, can I still get in park earlier?

I should know this, but it has been a while for us (last trip was in 2009).

We're planning a trip for the first week in December, and unfortunately missed the 180 day mark by a few days. I was able to get most of what I wanted, except my Ohana is late (9:30 pm!) and I wasn't able to get the early morning CP (yet).

Last time, I was able to get the early CP about 45 days out when a bunch of cancellations happened. I was just curious if they let you in the park if your reservation is after park opening. I figure, If we get there at 8:30 and they let us in, we could still get some pics on Main street on the way to CP, and then just check in to CP at 9:15?

Would that work?

I don't think so either.

That said, I don't recall anyone looking at our actual time the last time we did this. I figured it was worth asking.

We have had this experience and were told that we would have plenty of time to make our ADR once the park opens
