Anyone else scared of getting seasick?
I get carsick, 3D movie-sick, IMAX-sick, Planetarium-sick, and definitely smaller boats-sick.
So WHY did I sign up for a cruise ????!!

I'm a little worried about this too. But I have heard that the lower you are on the ship, the less movement you'll feel. We're on the 2nd deck, so hopefully that will help. And I'll probably bring some dramamine as well.

I think our group should create a FB group page in the near future so that we could all communicate on a more personal level before cruise. Kinda put names with faces and children with families? Get us more excited about the cruise?? this will be our first cruise.

I think a facebook page would be a great idea!

We booked this cruise after our Magic cruise in Oct of 2011, but our cruise dates changed 3x due to itinerary changes, so here we are. Our family is myself, my dh, my 25dd, and my 14dd. My son has to stay and work .

I notice there are a lot of little ones on this cruise and THAT always makes for a sweet cruise! We had a blast seeing all the 'wonder' on their faces when the characters were out, and seeing them all dressed up.... Priceless!

We absolutely loved, loved, loved our first cruise, met a lot of Dis'ers, and met some new friends. Can't wait for this one!

We actually changed to this one back in January, and had even 'peeked' in to this thread early on when Pinocchio #1 Fan and his wife, Maleficient One were heading up things. But we were quite hesitant to join in, not knowing about dh's bid for vacation time and all of this sequestering/furloughing.

And we can't wait to see if there will be other teens. Our 13dd had fun meeting new friends last go round, but wound up spending as much time with the whole family as her new friends. She actually had the sweetest time with new friends who had a 3 year old. So she can't wait to see what's ahead!

We're on deck 5, in a sideways room , so I'm sure we'll get to see lots of little ones with the clubs down the hall!

And if we can help answer any questions from our last cruise, we're more than willing! I know last cruise, we left out on a stormy day, they closed the port after the Magic headed out to sea, but thanks to all the info we found, we were well prepared, didn't get sea sick (with 18ft swells) and loved every minute of it! And we had 3 cabins with 7 people in our group!

OMG, I feel very dense. I never picked up on the fact that those two are husband/wife. Now it makes perfect sense as to why she didn't respond about the fish extender. Her husband changed the title and first post for me and she probably thought I knew. Duh. This is what happens when you have three children under three.

Well, I guess that makes me the permanent FE organizer now. Does anyone want to volunteer to get the Facebook group together?

Also, for any of you that want to get an early start of fish extender gifts, there is another spreadsheet on google docs that is a bit more organized than the "form responses" sheet. If you look down at the bottom left of the spreadsheet link, there is another sheet on a tab called "PARTICIPANT LIST." On this sheet I have the ages, genders, households, cabins, etc. broken down.

ETA-I have hidden the other sheet, so the PARTICIPANT LIST sheet should be this link/the link in post 62 defaults to now.

You are NOT dense, even with 3 kids under three! There is no way you could've possibly known the info, since Pinocchio #1 changed his first post. On his first post, he introduced himself, said he and his wife (The Maleficent One) were looking forward to their 2nd cruise, and were looking forward to handling all the FE stuff, meet & greet, etc. Once he changed it, there really wasn't any way to correlate the relationship between the two unless she changed hers. So, you're doing great!

I'm sorry I didn't fill y'all in, but we weren't sure about it, didn't want to intrude, and thought she'd pop in and tell you that she wasn't on it anymore. So I hope all this helps!

And...I tried to open a group on FB, but it says you have to add friends? LOL...this disneychik can FB, but it's the details that kill her!

I can't find it either. Either it is hidden from the search or facebook search isn't finding it (which wouldn't surprise me, half the time it doesn't find friends or pages that I have visited 1,000 times).

If enough people are interested, I've seen that many groups also do a meetup to put names with faces etc. < been dying to use that one LOL

I will volunteer to head that one up! Not really ready to get serious about it yet - I'd like to get an idea of our number when we get somewhat closer.

And I would love everyone's input/"votes" on what exactly it might be....
I've seen pajama breakfast, informally meeting in the atrium, booking an area with Disney (somehow??), cabin 'crawls' etc.

If it helps at all Monica, our last cruise meet actually met on embarkation day somewhere between 2-4 before the muster drill in a lobby. They also did a pirate pic between dinners. The pics looked great, though we didn't get to do either. Just some thoughts for you!
