Hey there! Glad you could join us! Who all is sailing with you?

I am only going to bring a pirate outfit for my daughter.

I go for the day before. Not only is it safer with the weather or delays, I dont think I could sit around here for a day! I am staying at the Raddison and they are having a 35% off sale until Friday so if you decide to come in early book it! They wont charge you a fee (well they said it is SUBJECT to a fee of $25) unless if you cancel after 9/22.

It is a girls only vacation , just me and my 3 year old. So I am really looking to meeting someone for me to chit-chat with while she is splashing around.

I have a few questions if you all would not mind helping an over-packer who has to have everything.

I was thinking what type of trinkets I should bring for my 3 year old, so that I can cut cost in the gift shop, any suggestions.
(My thoughts were: Glow sticks, Glow in the Dark necklace, Her Mouse ears from DL 2009, Bubbles, Arm Floats for castaway cay, Souvenir cups and a few bags of pixie dust prehaps few shirts or dolls from local Disney store not sure what else)

I think I would like to do the FE if I can find a group, but first can someone give me the rules or guidelines.
1. How many people are in a FE group
2. Do you give a gift to each person per room or just the kids or family gift
3. Gifts suggestions/ gifts to steer clear of.
4. Price point on gifts.
5. Are your group members on the same deck as you or spread out
6. What is the average size of the FE pockets (dont want to buy a gift that is to big)
7. At the end of the cruise do you do a FE swap or trade like the pin trade.

We are quite a big list but we were going to wait for August 1st before we decided to do that.

I also think we have come to the conclusion of if you want to do one big one for the family, that is cool or if you want to do one for each person that is cool so you pick.

If you have your code already, click on User CP at the almost top in the red banner. You will then see a menu down the side that say something about editing your signature. Just past the code in there.

Ummmm I HOPE we dont have a PP because I have already bought most of my stuff.

I am still not clear on the FE bag (I have never done the Disney pin trade either....yes, I was a sheltered child). We exchange the stuff we got from the FE exchange all cruise?

Well, this is my first cruise, so I'm no expert.. but here's the way I think of the FE: it is kind of like a secret Santa (although you are welcome to put your name on the gift you are handing out).

People interested in participating sign up here, on this thread. When we get to the cruise, you hang a fish extender from your state room fish. I don't think its been decided if we're going with one large list of participants or breaking the list up into smaller groups somehow.

Then, you go around to each cabin and deliver your gifts. They can be small things for the kids, something for the adults, really whatever you'd like to gift. I think we've all decided that we're up for however you'd like to deliver things - once during the cruise, every day, at any time during the cruise. Really the gift and how you deliver it is up to you.

When you return to your cabin, you'll be surprised by the things that the others in the exchange have left for you and your family.

Well all I am happy to report and to my surprise as of today, our trip is paid in full (thanks to someone who loves us very much )

No the hard/fun part-making reservations, setting up spa times, booking excursions.

I could not get the time I wanted at Palo and as of now it will be at 6:00pm on the first night (mixed emotions about that ),

I have been trying to make reservations for the nursery but not able to anyone else with this issue.

Would anyone happen to know if you need reservations for Scuttles cove (castaway cay) cant seem to find info on that.

Lastly is anyone doing any of the excursions?

Well I am so excited so is my little one, she has been drawing maps to the ship all day (thanks dora)

Ya'll have been such a quiet bunch lately!! Have you all been off packing already? And no time to post on the DIS???

I think we've settled on our two excursions for the trip: Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim and the Catamaran snorkeling trip on Castaway Cay. Anyone have any advice or experience on these two? Anyone else going on these?

I did make reservations for Palo... on our Nassau day at 7:30pm.. and somehow managed to not save them or something - they've disappeared from our online reservation

We're also (not-so-patiently ) waiting for our cabin assignment... I keep checking! Hopefully soon!!!

Boys are already ready for pirate night! They cannot wait for that one. Ryan turns 5 in August and wants a Pirate birthday!
I see a lot of us have little ones....hopefully they can hang together in the club! (I just love talking about my guys playing at the 'club'! LOL!)
