We got our mini Disney fix today at the disney store. Great sale going on right now. My DH was thrilled when he saw the shirt we bought him for our Disneyland trip coming up in May.

You guys have inspired me to try and make my own FE for the cruise. But I like the back up option of a grocery bag!! Haha.

I had to learn about this one too. This is our third DCL cruise, but the first with an FE. There is a metal fish next to your stateroom door on the ship. It is typically used for messages to you from DCL or other passengers. A Fish Extender is hung from this fish to give you more pockets for messages and little gifts. Welcome to our thread! First time cruise for me and my family. I plan to do an FE too I just don't know if I will make it or cheat and buy one on ebay. YOu can buy dollar store items or candy and use that to put in others FE's. Not sure what I will do yet. I am sure you guys will have a great time.

Oh y'all! I fear that I have caught the sickness. Jeff and I are about to book the 7 day cruise to Tortola in September of 09 for our 1st anniversary.
Does this make us crazy? We haven't even been on our first cruise yet. We just thought we catch the savings of booking early.
I am just waiting to hear back from the TA.

P.S. Did anyone else watch the Disney cruise line special on the travel channel today? It was great, now I am even more excited!!!!

yea! Congrats! I could never get Clinton to agree to anything that far ahead!! where buying a house in '09, so I may have to go without Disney till '10 Must soak up all i can this trip!!

Lindsey - We have seen the DCL special at least a dozen times. DS recorded it so we have access to it at any time. We also ordered the DCL planning DVD. There's lots of cool info. on that one.

I don't think booking that far in advance is crazy at all! We rarely have a chance to book very far in advance, and this cruise is the exception. I have never booked anything 14 months in advance like we did with this cruise. Usually DH and I have to go by work schedules. We are both trial attorneys and finding time to get away is not easy. We are going to try and use DH's over 200,000 marriott points for a trip, but given my last experience when we did the Ritz Carlton on Maui using Marriott points, we had to book that trip at least a year in advance. Now we just have to figure out where to go. I will never get DH back on a cruise though. Our first experience was a wedding on the Soverign of the Seas RCL out of Port Canaveral and he did not like the experience at all.

DD and I always watch either the planning DVD or tivo'd Travel Channel special whenever we need a pick me up!

I admit it! I Tivo'ed it as well. I have only watched it once *so far*. I am still waiting on the cruise planning DVD.

We went ahead and booked the Sept '09 cruise to Tortola for our first anniversary. We just couldnt pass it up.

I bought the stuff for our fish extender. I hope to get to work on that soon.

Hope you had a good weekend. Lindsey, we saw the special also. They have specials on WDW also that I watched. We ordered the DVD about two or three months ago and its really informative but different from the Travel Channel special. I enjoyed both.
