We have our stateroom numbers for our two verandah cabins - I just don't have them with me right now. My DFi and I are in one, my parents in the other. The rest of our party (my cousin and his wife, my cousin's mom, and my DFi's parents) are in GTY 12s. We're hoping for some pixie dust for them in terms of upgrades, but we'll see...

Not sure yet about the green, but I DO want to get matching tshirts for our group... we'll see how far I get with that!

Hi everyone!

I was posting on the other thread (not very frequently, I'm afraid, but posting nonetheless!)... glad to see everyone will be onboard!

Our group will have nine people:

Verandah Cabin 1:
Me (Amy!)
DFi (we were engaged at WDW in September!)

Verandah Cabin 2:
Mom and Dad

GTY 12 Cabin 1:
My future MIL and FIL

GTY 12 Cabin 2:
My mom's cousin

GTY 12 Cabin 3:
My cousin and his wife (who were in WDW with us when we were engaged)

We're taking this trip somewhat randomly (we do have a wedding and honeymoom coming up next year, after all!) because my dad has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. He's always LOVED WDW, but the parks are just too much for him at this point, and when we were on our cruise in September (we went on a 4-night after WDW) we kept saying how perfect it would be for dad. So, we're doing it! We want to take this trip while he can still enjoy it. He and Mom have never been on a cruise, though he LOVES the ocean and was in the Navy.

We started planning and everyone else jumped onboard (haha, get it?) too - we're all very excited.

I just booked rooms at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach for the night before the cruise, so we can relax before boarding and not worry about missing the ship!

Hi Amy, I can't remember if i asked you about a FE? I know I'm like the FE patrol!! If you are doing the FE, will all your rooms do it to? I guess I need to ask my brother who has 2 rooms if he wants to play...I'll end up making his FE if he does!!

We didn't have a FE on our last trip, but I think maybe we should for this one, and maybe I'll make some for the other four cabins as well. You made yours, right? Do you have instructions for how you did it? I'm pretty crafty but some guidelines would help to get me started!

Please count me in on the Fe and exchange. Michelle and I are also in a 12 GTY room and have asked for late seating for dinner. I will ask Michelle to pm our room # when we get it (I am pretty much computer illiterate). I geuss we will need to pm everyone on the list our room #s unless we have a meet shortly after bording and get a list then. Sounds like the group is shaping up nicely. We are getting really excited about the cruise 5 months seams such a long way off. I geuss I will now go and post on the other trhead

I am not sure about lime green would prefer yellow or coral myself, but if others are willing I am up for it. I think th FE exchange is a great Idea. Michelle and I have asked for late seating and also have a 12gty room. So we don't have are room # yet, I do not expect to get an upgrade as there will only be the 2 of us in the room. If We don't get an upgrade I expect to spend a lot of time waiting on the elevators as I doubt that I will be able to make 6 or 7 flights of stairs very often. I really don't drink much but am looking foward to the martini and wine tasting, and the drink of the day. I am still hopeing that we will be able to get in a couple of extra days at the parks either before or after the cruise.

Amy & Magie...I'm so glad your doing the FE!! I posted a link (not mine) a couple of posts up on how to make one or where to get one. I can't sew, so I used the bond tape, hope it doesn't fall apart!! If you want, I can keep up w/the room #'s and PM a final list to everyone before we go, so we all know how much to bring. I heard that GTY rooms don't get a # until the ship docs come in, about a month before we go.

Yup, it's about a month before the cruise date (might have even been exactly one month) that the cabin numbers are posted on the website. That's when we were pleasantly surprised by our upgrade from a 12 to a 9! We were so excited we didn't even think about the downside -- we're now spoiled! Bill is more spoiled than I am... I was perfectly okay with a 12 for this cruise, since we're saving for the honeymoon, etc, but Bill would hear none of that - he wanted a VERANDAH! On the honeymoon cruise he'll probably want to room with the Captain, for Pete's sake!

Hey Amy! You were upgraded to a 9 from a 12! Now that would be a great upgrade. We were in a 9 the last time and an 8 before that. I am figuring that since it is just me and DH we will probably not get upgraded, but that will be o.k. with us. Just to be on the ship is the best thing.

We have decided to go to MNSSHP before the cruise - I am tossing around the idea of staying on disney property for this. Maybe the All Star resorts? Any of you have any opinions as to which All Star resort would be nice to stay at?

Cool! The only All-Star I've stayed at was Music. It was just for one or two nights a couple of years ago when my best friend and I went for her birthday weekend. We had a room in the preferred location and I have no complaints.

We have stayed at all the All Stars. I like the movies the best, my boys like the sports! They are all pretty much the same and you can walk from one to the other, so you can check it all out! I really like the All Stars, but I'm staying at POP after the cruise this time for MNSSHP! I like POP alot for a value!!

We are so in for the FE too! I have been saving up some fun stuff to exchange! Sounds like we have a great group on board. Libby

not in room size, put all star is 3 resorts grouped together w/1 main pool & 1 quiet pool each. You are also getting 3 different food courts. POP is the size of all 3 all stars, but 1 food court and 3 theamed pools. The busses sometimes group the 3 all stars together, and sometimes seperate them, so they can be just as busy as the POP busses. That's the thing w/values, more people= longer waits at busses. Going in Sept, this is usually not a problem!! All star music also has family suites, the only value resort w/ a master bedroom, small kitchen and pull out couch to sleep 6. I think they are all really fun...not quiet, but fun. You can check out pics here:
