So if you have a 9/10 yr old girl what are you getting her for Christmas? What kinds of toys/electronics etc is she into? For some reason this year is a tough one with shopping for this age bracket. Thanks!

Well...our 9 year old girl is getting a trip to WDW this Christmas.:cool1:

Have fun you'll love it. Wish we could go at Christmas again, but we were just there this summer. :thumbsup2

My 10yr old wants electronics, clothes, and cash! Being that her birthday is dec 8th, she'll be receiving an ipod touch and an itunes gift card. For Christmas she's getting one of those electric euro scooters (it's pink). Also under the tree will be a blu ray player for her room with some blu ray movies, a nerf gun and loads of darts. Thats the only toy she's getting. She'll also be getting some cute clothes from Justice and Areo.

My DD will be nine and a half at Christmas. So far she has asked for an iPod Touch, Fijit, Babysitting Mama Wii game, and a video camera (like a Flip.) I have already bought the Fijit. I also got her a couple of Monster High Dolls and the DS game for Monster High. I bought her a Vera Bradley mini hipster and wristlet in their sale a few weeks ago, I will put an iTunes card in the wristlet to go with her iPod. I'm thinking no on the video camera because she could video on the Touch? I have a set of Poison Apple books and a couple of quiz books for her.... and some clothes. She loves B&BW, I want to check out their new scents and see if I can find a nice, light one for her. We will probably give her the Babysitting Mama game. She loves stuff like that.

My DD will turn 9 just a few days before Christmas. At the moment it looks like she'll be getting a laptop for b'day and the 3D DS for Christmas. Other Christmas gifts will be an American Girl doll, a Figit, a few video games, and some books and movies. I'm thinking about getting her a small Vera Bradley bag of some kind - she loves all my VB stuff and has a couple of small pieces of her own. And she wants an alarm clock for her room. That will probably be about it. This is more big expensive stuff than we usually buy - we usually just do one big ticket item and then some small stuff to go with. But the small stuff usually turns out to be a waste. I decided I'd rather spend the money on fewer gifts and get stuff that I know will be used and played with.

DD is 10 (11 in May) and her big present this year is a new bike. She has totally outgrown her old one and we're going to get her a very very nice bike that will last her at least 5-8 years, depending on how tall she gets. She will also be getting clothes especially since we didn't do any school clothes shopping as she had enough to get her through to Christmas. We're getting her the Taylor Swift Concert DVD (we went as part of her birthday present in Aug and had an absolute blast!) and the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book Cabin Fever. We'll probably pick up a Lego set or two and a new DS game and a family Wii game.

It's definitely a tough age because their are beginning to grow out of the toys stage a little bit. It's not as easy as it was when she was 7 but I think we'll do just fine.

We need more iTunes GF like I need a hole in my head!

10 yr old here, and pretty much completely over toys :( She's getting a Kindle for her big gift, amazon gift card, disney gift card, i-carly season dvd's (no cable here and she loves it), and Headbanz -also played on I-Carly. Probably a couple d/s & wii games.

DD10 is getting American Girl stuff (Kananai+ accessories, the AG trundle bed and bedding, plus one AG outfit and jammies for her), and a new bike.

Those are her big gifts. :) She got a new ipod nano for her birthday this past May.

Dd10 is begging for a Kindle. She'll get a new cellphone (she will be due for an upgrade), and already has an ipod touch. I'm thinking clothes.

My 9 year old is getting a bean bag chair, some clothes, earrings. She loves those knitted character hats and mitts that are about $50+ a set, so maybe a new set since the one I got her for christmas last year shrunk in the wash and now fits her little sister, whoops :rolleyes1 She doesn't play with any toys at all but likes to read and do quiz books so maybe that as well.

Well mine still plays with certain toys. She likes Barbie, Build A Bears, and dress-up clothes as well as the electronics. I have already bought her a digital camera, and a Christmas ornament of a tiger. She bought herself an Ipod Touch, which will arrive this week, so maybe Itunes GC. She likes to get new Build A Bear clothes, I think we have enough of the actual animals! For her birthday she got a princess dress for Halloween, Little House on the Prairie Season 1, nail polish & nail stickers.

She will probably get a prairie dress to play in, maybe before Christmas if Grandma makes it and needs help picking out fabric and getting measured.

Some other ideas I have in my Amazon cart:
Barbie Make-Up Artist set
American Girl Creative Card Making Pad
Fashion Headbands craft
Conair Quick Gems Hair Jeweler
some board games

We also plan on putting on the Christmas lists some movies that we have in VHS and want to replace with DVD.

My 9 yr old dd will be getting a kindle for her birthday
For Christmas she will be getting a new ds
The new Disney land video game for kinect
Cloths from areopostale
Make up like nail polish and lip gloss
American girl stuff
Gift card to hair salon for new doo

We do American Girl, they have DSes (is that our to make it plural?:lmao:) so games, and this year my girl will want squinkies. She also likes jewelry making items and craft kits. She also has a fascination with paper dolls.

My 11 year old (just out of your age range, but her maturity level is about a year young--has been since she was 5 :confused3) is asking for a Nintendo 3DS. Not sure if we will get that or not. She has the old DS that doesn't have the camera, and we passed on the version with the camera.

We had considered an iPod for her with a screen (we have my iPod nano that she uses but she has to scan through the tracks to find her songs). But maturity wise, she is still asking for a "toy", so who knows.

Her first request is a dog.:sad2:

Our DD9 will get Justice/Aero clothes, Nerf gun, rollerblades/safety pads, iHome for her touch, itunes GC, jewelry, Wii game, and BBW items.

:goodvibes DD9 does not play with toys.....actually she hasnt played with or asked for toys since the age of 5.. kind of a bummer for Mom who would have love to do the whole barbie dream house and girlie things with her  luckily I have 2 younger daughters that are right up my alley lol........... This year DD9 is getting an iPod Touch with an iTunes giftcard, some cool headphones and a otterbox case. A big beanbag for her room =) and a dvd player with a movie or 2. OH and a new pair of weekend shoes shes in a uniform all week and she likes having 'stylish' shoes

DD wants a laptop. :rotfl2: Needless to say she's not getting it. She has put some wii, and DS games on her list.

Denise in MI

DD10 is getting a cell phone, and possibly an ipad. She has an ipod touch already, which is a great gift if your DD does not have that already. Plus for both DDs as a joint gift we may buy xbox w/kinect. We already have wii, but they want kinect now too.

I'm struggling this year as DD10 is in that inbetween stage.

She wants one of the New Orleans AG dolls. I would love to give one as most of our family is from Louisiana. However she already has bitty twins, Josephina and Sonali (sp?). I don't know
She will get: Ipod Touch, boots, cute clothes and hair accessories. Probably a couple of Monster high Dolls and (thanks to a previous poster) the Monster High DS game!!! I also have a few Amelia Rules graphic/cartoon Novels. She loves those types of books.

My 10 year old will be getting an I-Pod touch. She has also asked for a new zebra print comforter set and some PS3 games.
